‘Fifty Shades Darker’ Trailer Drops, Does Jamie Dornan Go Full Frontal Like Dakota Johnson Hoped? [Watch]
The official trailer for Fifty Shades Darker is finally here, revealing a darker, sexier, and more mysterious storyline for Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson).
While fans get their first look at the coming BDSM thriller, will Jamie Dornan go full frontal when Fifty Shades Darker hits theaters in February?
Universal Pictures released the trailer in all of its sultry glory on YouTube. Based on the clip, fans are definitely in for a completely different ride than Fifty Shades of Grey.
According to Entertainment Weekly, James Foley directed Fifty Shades Darker, which follows up Fifty Shades of Grey’s successful run at the box office last year that took in some $570 million in worldwide sales.

The movie is an adaptation of E.L. James’ best-selling book of the same name and centers on the complicated romance between Christian and Ana.
As their relationship heats up, some of Christian’s dark secrets from the past threaten to tear them apart — including Ana’s new boss and Christian’s old lover, Elena Lincoln (Kim Basinger).
Fifty Shades Darker will see the return of Marcia Gay Harden as Rita Ora, Luke Grimes as Mia, and Elliot, Victor Razuik as Jose, Eloise Mumford as Kate, and Max Martini as Taylor.
The film also introduces a number of exciting characters, including Dr. John Flynn, played by Hugh Dancy from Hannibal, Jack Hyde, played by Eric Johnson from The Knick, and Boyce Fox, portrayed by Tyler Hoechlin from Teen Wolf.
Meanwhile, the trailer, unfortunately, didn’t reveal whether or not Dornan will go full frontal in the movie.
According to People, rumors of Dornan’s full frontal first surfaced during Johnson’s interview with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live back in February.
The actress was promoting her new movie, How to Be Single, when the topic of Dornan’s frontal took over.
After a fan asked Johnson if Dornan will shed it all in the next film, she admitted that seeing Dornan nude would only be fair.
“I’ll probably get in trouble for this answer,” she started. “I’m going to make him get fully naked in the next one.”
Johnson’s co-stars, Alison Brie and Leslie Mann, couldn’t agree more.
“He should be, I would like that,” Mann chimed in.
Johnson added: “Everybody wants to see the D. The ‘Dornan D.'”
Although fans still don’t know if Dornan goes full frontal, Us Magazine reports they can expect plenty of racy scenes in the movie.

In fact, Dornan and Johnson filmed so many sex scenes together this past summer that the actress admitted she was tired of “simulating sex.”
“Well, we’re not having actual sex. But I’ve been simulating sex for seven hours straight right now, and I’m over it,” Johnson shared.
Producers filmed Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed back to back this summer, which explains why Johnson and Dornan had to do so many intimate scenes.
Of course, such is to be expected in a franchise like Fifty Shades of Grey, and fans won’t mind if Foley and company beef up the sex in the final two films.
That being said, James just released another teaser excerpt from her new book in the franchise, titled Fifty Shades Darker from Christian’s Point of View. Does this mean Dornan and the rest of the cast will be back for a fourth installment?
It’s unknown if James’ new novel will ever make the big screens, but fans are clearly ready for more of the risqué drama, no matter what form it takes.
And Dornan has already said that he is “done” playing Christian Grey.
Fifty Shades Darker is scheduled to hit theaters on Feb. 10, 2017. Fifty Shades Freed is expected to open in theaters in 2018.
