‘Dance Moms’ Season 6 Cast JoJo Siwa, Kendall Vertes Leaving ALDC? Stars Diss Abby Lee Miller
JoJo Siwa and Kendall Vertes are reportedly leaving Dance Moms. Following the departure of sisters Maddie and Mackenzie Ziegler, it seems like the ALDC elite team is set to lose two more members after Season 6.
According to International Business Times, JoJo Siwa is noticeably absent during the filming for Dance Moms Season 7. The production for next season has already begun, starting off with Sheer Talent competition in Las Vegas. IBT reported that the 13-year-old Dance Moms star did not compete over the weekend.
This is not the first time that Siwa has missed a competition. Back in May, Abby Lee Miller threw shade at the young dancer after she missed the Fierce National Dance Competition during the Memorial Day weekend. The ALDC coach posted a photo on Instagram of ALDC dancers Kendall Vertes, Brynn Rumfallo, Kalani Hilliker, and Nia Frazier, with the caption, “These girls certainly were not at the pool today!” Earlier that day, Siwa posted several photos and videos of herself enjoying some down time by the pool.
In June, JoJo Siwa told People that Dance Moms Season 6 is her favorite season to date. Back then, she also slammed rumors of her leaving the show and following Maddie Ziegler’s footsteps.
“This season will be a lot of fun. It’s has been one of my faves,” she said.
While it seems like Siwa is here to stay for a little bit longer, not the same thing can be said about her Dance Moms co-star Kendall Vertes. In the Season 6 pre-premiere special, which aired last Tuesday, Vertes did not mince her words when asked about Abby Lee Miller’s current legal battles.
“I’m just gonna say one word: Karma. She doesn’t really have her life planned out yet. She doesn’t know what she’s gonna do.”
According to International Business Times, Vertes also expressed disappointment with how Miller has been handling her music career. The 13-year-old singer was irked by how she had to wait for Miller’s approval to release her new album and single, a project she has been working on the whole summer. Meanwhile, her Dance Moms co-star Nia Frazier, who is not handled by Miller, has released several songs in the past year.
“I spent my entire summer recording the songs and its sometimes frustrating. It’s really annoying when you have a manager but they don’t do anything for you and they don’t want to release your music,” Vertes explained.
In an interview with Popmania back in May, Vertes shared that she has been working on a few songs in her studio, which will be released “hopefully soon.” The Dance Moms star also told her fans about her “ultimate music dream,” which is to do a collaboration with Ariana Grande.
“Some people say that I look like her and sometimes I dress like her but it would be amazing to sing with her because she’s amazing and she’s really hot right now. A lot of kids love her,” she explained.
During the Dance Moms Season 6 premiere, Kendall Vertes broke down after Abby Lee Miller called her a “hot mess.” Vertes has had enough with Miller’s constant drama that she even wanted to quit ALDC.
“I love Abby, she’s my music manager but it’s not like she owns me. I’m not her product. I’m a person, I’m a human.”
The following day after her breakdown, Vertes told Miller that she made her feel that she is not good enough for the team. Miller, however, explained that it was “the best way she can feel as a dancer.”
“A dancer should always try to achieve perfection and never reaching it,” she told Vertes.
