How Orlando Bloom & Selena Gomez Plan To End Katy Perry & Taylor Swift’s Feud
Katy Perry and Taylor Swift have endured a long and well-documented feud, but it sounds like Perry’s boyfriend, Orlando Bloom, is ready for the drama to end, and he may even call in reinforcements from Selena Gomez.
According to reports, Orlando has had enough of Katy’s war with Taylor and has allegedly offered to talk to Selena in the hopes that she may be able to bring the former friends back together.
“[Orlando] thinks Katy could only gain from a reconciliation with Taylor,” a source recently told Hollywood Life of Bloom’s alleged plans to help his girlfriend end her feud with Swift once and for all.
“[Orlando] just thinks it’s toxic for Katy to have this long standing feud. He’s a Buddhist and has been pushing for her to make peace since they’ve been a couple,” the insider added of Bloom’s plans.
The source also went on to reveal that Bloom already has a plan up his sleeve when it comes to exactly how he’s hoping to get Katy and Taylor to bury the hatchet, claiming that his secret weapon is his and Swift’s mutual friend Selena.
“Since he’s pals with Selena,” the gossip site’s insider continued, “he’s offered to kind of re-introduce Katy and Taylor on better terms.”
Katy, Taylor, and Orlando have yet to officially confirm the reports, but Selena is notably friendly with both Perry and Swift, despite the two pop stars being locked in a pretty nasty feud for the past two years.
While Selena and Taylor have made no secret of their close friendship, Gomez has played a little coyer when it comes to her relationship with Katy, though she did praise Perry after photos surfaced of Gomez and Orlando getting cozy in a club back in May.

Fans were quick to accuse Bloom and Gomez of getting a little too close in the snaps, but Perry was quick to dispel the accusations of infidelity on social media shortly after TMZ published what looked like pretty incriminating candid photos of the two together in a club.
“Instead of giving energy & eyeballs to dumb conspiracy [trash] check out how [cool] this is,” Perry tweeted alongside a link to a story about Orlando’s charity work, also dispelling rumors that claimed she was blaming Taylor Swift for the drama surrounding Selena and Orlando.
Selena Gomez then retweeted Katy Perry’s social media message and added, “#killemwithkindness – one day they’ll get it lol.”
Katy and Selena’s social media exchange came just months after Gomez confirmed that, despite her close friendship with Taylor, she and Perry were all good and on friendly terms.
“That’s false, I love Katy. I just talked to her,” Gomez said when asked if starring in Swift’s music video for “Bad Blood,” which is reported to be about her and Perry’s feud, caused tension.
“She’s amazing. But I didn’t talk about [“Bad Blood”], but I just talked to her. She’s awesome,” Selena added of Perry.
Claims that Bloom wants Gomez to play mediator between Perry and Swift comes just days after Perry appeared to reveal on social media that she would actually be willing to put her past feud with the “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” singer behind her.
Katy spoke out about her past drama with Swift in a tweet on September 10 after a fan asked if she would ever be willing to team up with Swift for a duet, despite their past feud.
After a fan tweeted Katy to ask if she’d be open to a collaboration, Perry replied, “If she says sorry, sure!”
Perry’s response came as a shock to fans, as the two have notably been embroiled in a long and drawn out feud ever since Taylor alluded to drama with the “Rise” singer back in 2014.
Swift first hinted at a feud between herself and Perry back in 2014 after she told Rolling Stone that a fellow female pop star, who she did not name in the interview, tried to sabotage one of her past tours.
“For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not,” Taylor told the magazine of the singer, who was largely speculated to be Katy. “She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?'”
Katy then appeared to confirm that Taylor was, in fact, referring to a feud with her, tweeting out shortly after the interview hit the headlines, “watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothing…”
