Justin Bieber’s Girlfriend Sofia Richie Forced To Wear Hot Wool Coat In Kanye’s Yeezy Runway Show For New York Fashion Week

For the love of all things fashion, what was Kanye West thinking when he dressed Justin Bieber’s girlfriend in a wool coat for his outdoor Yeezy Season 4 show?

Sofia Richie made her runway debut at New York Fashion Week (NYFW) this year. Models were dropping like flies in the heat, fainting and even taking a seat in the middle of the lawn during the show.

Justin Bieber’s hot new girlfriend, Sofia Richie, daughter of Lionel Richie, has been making headlines ever since she was first photographed with Bieber a few months ago. Now, the 18-year-old has landed herself a modelling gig at one of the biggest celebrity fashion shows of New York Fashion Week.

Kanye West unsurprisingly started his runway show fashionably late, about 90 minutes late according to Daily Mail, at Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park.

People attending Kanye’s fashion show were sweltering in the heat, especially Sofia Richie, who was in a large hooded yellow jacket.

A lot of show goers were confused at the Yeezy Season 4 show. The models appeared to all just be wearing flesh-toned shape wear and were standing still in lines on the lawn.

Teyana Taylor, who starred in Kanye West’s most recent music video for the song “Fade,” was front and center of all the models in the Yeezy fashion show.

It seemed there were many outfits at Kanye’s runway show that were definitely not weather appropriate for the hot, sunny day.

A few models actually fainted in the sweltering heat after being forced to stand in the sun on the catwalk.

Models were seen wearing Kanye’s new boots, a strange, clear, plastic-looking, knee-high, high-heeled boot.

Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian, was spotted out and about in the plastic boots earlier in the week in New York.

Besides Justin Bieber’s new girl, Sofia Richie, there were a bunch of other big names walking the runway for Kanye’s show including Chanel Iman.

While the runway models walked the perimeter of the lawn, extras stood in lines in the middle of the area.

The clothing, if you can even call it that, was very revealing and featured bodysuits, bras, and other types of shape wear.

The extras were of all shapes and sizes, as listed on the casting call sheet that Kanye posted to his Twitter page.

Kanye did not do any publicity for Yeezy Season 4. In fact, people who were lucky enough to claim a seat at the show received invitations in the form of plain white cards the morning of the show.

There would be a performance by Italian artist Vanessa Beecroft, with whom Kanye has collaborated in the past.

Models such as Sofia Richie weren’t the only ones forced to suffer in the heat at the hands of Kanye West that day.

Show goers were forced to board buses to be transported to the venue, which reportedly took over an hour to get six miles away to the location.

Kanye had models wearing shoes that seemed impossible to walk in. This model just about broke her ankles walking down the runway.

This model looked like the Grim Reaper just learning to walk.

Someone is literally walking this model down and off the runway.

Another model had difficulty walking in the high heels that Kanye had chosen for her and eventually just took them off mid-walk.

In the finale walk, she changed to a pair of sliders.

Some of the models in the center of the perimeter eventually just took a seat because they could no longer stand in the hot conditions.

This is not the first of Kanye West’s unconventional fashion shows.

In February, West hired 1,200 models to wear his creations at Madison Square Garden. It was also at that event where he debuted his latest record, The Life of Pablo.

Kanye West’s wife, Kim Kardashian, proudly posted about her husband’s event on Instagram where she posed with her sisters.
