Hillary Clinton Was Apparently Holding Back On The Percentage In Donald Trump’s ‘Basket Of Deplorables’
Donald Trump was spotlighted by the mainstream press for saying the most controversial things on the stump but they’ve now turned that spotlight over to Hillary Clinton, after she made a statement last Friday saying that half of Donald Trump’s supporters were a “basket of deplorables.”
The backlash was enough for Hillary Clinton to backpedal what she said, which will be a fresh new target for her opponents to put on her back. It’s a clear indication that there’s no way that she’s going to be able to rise up above the statement as it will continue to haunt her for the rest of her life, by said “basket.”
A recent article by Huffington Post has done the hard work of collecting the data that’s been done on Donald Trump’s supporters over the past year to show that one only has to look below the surface to confirm the statement.
In her “gaffe” which the Inquisitr also covered, she followed it up with why she said they were deplorable people.
“The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic—you name it. And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up.”
The article shows that the data collected from PPP and Reuters/Ipsos shows that 50-percent up to 65 percent of his base either believe that blacks are more violent, lazy, and believe that President Obama was not born in the United States, the “birther” movement for which Donald Trump has led the way.

In a recent interview with Rudy Giuliani on Hardball with Chris Matthews, Matthews attempted to pin down Giuliani in trying to get him to say that Donald Trump himself is finally admitting that the president was born in the United States.
Even more, the Huffington Post article about Hillary Clinton’s statement also shows high numbers for his supporters against Islam or Arab people, Mexicans, and immigrants in general.
One only needs to look at the fact that Donald Trump has been “leaning” on the idea of a wall across the Southern border — to say nothing about one up North — which doesn’t bring out supporters who mean to keep out Canadians. Only those under a certain skin pigment.
But this also goes with the article’s point in that more than half of that “basket” is deplorable and that Hillary Clinton was really holding back.
“The data is incontrovertible. The evidence is abundant. The truth is plain to see. Virtually every single one of those numbers reveals a healthy majority of Trump supporters espousing one form of prejudice or another — all of which means that Hillary Clinton was not wrong in characterizing half of Trump’s faithful as unrepentantly bigoted. If anything, the numbers say she may have been a tad too nice.”
Again, Hillary Clinton tweeted out a statement in which she uses the word “regret” but also continued to point out the movement Donald Trump has given a voice to using the national platform.

Even if Hillary Clinton had not made the statement, many organizations and people representing those communities have fired back at Donald Trump or refused to have anything to do with him, starting with his own Republican party from various candidates, party delegates, and many world leaders.
Donald Trump also responded to her initial statement to which Hillary Clinton also responded.

Hillary Clinton also pointed out in her statement that with the involvement of the Alt-Right in his campaign, they already have a history of being deplorable, and with a few months to go before the November election, there is no sign that Donald Trump is at the very least looking to get rid of those supporters.
In fact, the Alt-Right has built up their movement around attacking the Clintons and as long as he has that as the ammunition he means to attack Hillary Clinton, he has no reason to get rid of that basket of deplorables.
