Be careful, because ahead are rumors/spoilers that get more specific with the characters and in particular what they are doing. Details ahead are rumors though, but in case they become reality, consider this article spoiler territory for Star Wars 8.
Luke Skywalker And Friends Taking On The Knights Of Ren
Star Wars 8 is rumored to have Luke Skywalker and Rey battle against Kylo and the Knights of Ren and it looks to be coming to fruition. Whatever vision that Rey had, as seen in The Force Awakens movie and the trailer, may be coming to pass at the Skellig Michael Islands which is the designated scene of the age-old Jedi Temple on the planet of Ahch-To.
Mark Reilly of the Collider Videos: Jedi Council got this information from a German fan site, StarWars-Union.de. It was an account from an eyewitness in Ireland.
Apparently, there was a very big fight scene and it started with Luke Skywalker and Rey having their training allegedly interrupted by Kylo and the Knights of Ren.
So it would seem that Rey is probably a Padawan at this point.
Mark Ellis thought this was a nod to the Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back movie where on the planet Hoth, Imperial troops had entered the base.
Will Kylo Ren Let The Wookie Win?
More Star Wars 8 news involved Chewbacca participating alongside Luke and Rey against Kylo and his men, according to Collider Videos. This would make sense because Chewbacca flew with Rey to get that desolate island on Ahch-To. So there’s no telling what kind of rage Chewie could be feeling against Kylo after Star Wars: The Force Awakens. This could get ugly.
Strange Creature Ashore Jedi Temple Island
One of the clips zoomed in on the area of the island shows what looked to be a creature costume or assemblage. It appeared to have no head and a crew person looking down its neck hole. It’s too blurry to tell, so it can only be speculated.
It was kind of reminiscent of the sizable Jabba the Hutt costume in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi which required more than one person to operate it. Only this creature looked like it had legs.
Mark Hamill May Have Referred To Knights Of Ren Fight Sequence
The Knights of Ren vision was apparently at night and Mark Hamill gave a brief mention at the 2016 Salt Lake Comic-Con on how he was busy doing night shoots on Episode VIII, with an “elaborate special effects sequence” that he had to be ready for when he couldn’t find time to watch The Killing Joke.
“I came home and I realized, ‘oh my gosh, they have an interview for me tomorrow afternoon. I haven’t watched [The Killing Joke], and the day after I start on a sequence, an elaborate special effects sequence where I’m not going to be able to do anything. I have to focus specifically on the Episode VIII scene I’m doing.”
There are a few questions left unanswered. Why did Luke Skywalker choose to stay on Ahch-To? Did he get the answers he was looking for while living out on the boonies?
