Make room for three! Prince George and Princess Charlotte may soon have a baby brother or sister. Us Magazine reports that a source close to the royal couple says that the Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge wish to expand their family and “want a third baby soon.”
The source also predicts, “It would not surprise me if they were pregnant by Christmas.”

For nearly a year, royal watchers have been waiting for such an announcement. The princess has been endlessly scrutinized as fans look for just any sign of a baby bump. Just a week ago, Princess Kate silenced all of the pregnancy rumors when she enjoyed some whiskey while on their tour through Cornwall. This deserved beverage was right after she played barmaid and laughingly poured her husband a pint Healey’s Berry Rattler Cider, at the award-winning Healey’s Cornish Cider Farm near Truro.
If Kate Middleton is actually pregnant, or if there was even the slightest possibility that she was pregnant, she would certainly not drink anything alcoholic, especially in public.

In addition, if Kate was currently pregnant, there is no way the royal couple would take a risk to travel overseas on their planned Canadian trip later this month. The Duchess infamously had serious morning sickness (hyperemesis gravidarum) that required hospitalization with each of her two previous pregnancies.
In addition, the source stated that with the possible threat of Zika, should Kate become pregnant, her travel schedule would be seriously scrutinized and adjusted as the virus can cause birth defects. Her royal schedule may just be scheduled around Great Britain.
The source has stated that they would not be surprised if she became “pregnant by Christmas.” While this source sounds credible, there is also something quite important to consider next summer: the extensive plans for the 20-year memorial of Princess Diana’s death .
Hello! states that Prince Harry and Prince William plan on honoring their mother with a garden at Kensington Palace. Currently, no formal plans for a public memorial led by the two sons of the late princess have been made, yet this milestone certainly calls for something special. Who better to lead this event than Diana’s two sons?
If Kate was pregnant with baby number three and perhaps even expecting to give birth during this time period, it may be odd timing as William would most likely want to pay remembrance to his beloved late mother. If the baby is born a few months after the memorial, this conflict could be avoided. Instead, Kate can be by William’s side.

Nonetheless, the friend states that the duke and duchess want a huge and cozy family, but the insider stressed that they needed some time before they added another baby. A year ago, Charlotte was only 2-months-old and William just two. The royal couple are each only 34-years-old. They have time and know that spacing out the years between children will keep them from being too overwhelmed.
“I think they both would have been overwhelmed at the thought of a third child a year ago, but now it sounds perfect. They’ve both always wanted a big family.”
William and Kate are doing their best to keep home life as normal as possible. Currently, big brother Prince George is a Matchbox aficionado. One source says that like many youngsters, George is fascinated by anything powered by an engine.
“He’s obsessed with anything with an engine.”
Baby sister Princess Charlotte wants to be close to mom, which is understandable for a child of just over a year. The current youngest child of the royal couple follows mom wherever she goes.
Are you excited at the prospect of another royal baby? Do you think 2017 will bring a new addition to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s family?
