WWE News: Update On Plans For Current Bo Dallas Push
Whether or not you thought there was much of a future for the WWE group The Social Outcasts, their fate was sealed during the brand extension draft, but it was likely determined well before that. Heath Slater, Adam Rose, Curtis Axel, and Bo Dallas were formed together in January of this year and never truly amounted to anything more than a comedic heel jobber faction.
Failed gimmick after failed gimmick plucked Slater, Rose, Axel, and Dallas from obscurity and aligned them together, but The Social Outcasts experienced a similar lack of success together as they did on their own. Slater has since emerged from the pack as the one WWE superstar with some semblance of a significant direction, as his free agent angle coming out of the brand split has led him into a tag team with Rhyno on SmackDown Live, with the opportunity to become champions this Sunday at Backlash.

Rose’s Wellness Policy violation led to a suspension, which ultimately led to his departure from WWE earlier this year. Curtis Axel was the final pick of the RAW brand at the draft, and his “Mr. Irrelevant” status has been apropos ever since. Slater aside, it’s been the booking of Bo Dallas that has some wondering if the WWE creative staff is finally getting behind the brother of Bray Wyatt.
Bo wasn’t picked much higher than former Social Outcast member Axel, with the brand split signifying the end of the stable once and for all. Despite the roster divide creating more opportunities for lower-level superstars, Dallas had not appeared on Monday Night RAW for nearly two months. Until this past week, that is.

It was an interesting week, to say the least, for Bo Dallas. Last Friday, Bo was arrested for public intoxication after being kicked off a flight in a Dallas airport that was headed to Mexico City. So when Dallas appeared on RAW three days later, many fans assumed he’d get squashed in some sort of public punishment levied by WWE management. After all, he’d been absent and irrelevant for so long that the arrest was the most noteworthy thing on his resume at the moment.
As it turns out, it was Bo Dallas doing the squashing by virtue of a short, easy win over a local competitor. Bo even got his own entrance, a campaign flag with his new “Bo-Lieve In Bo” slogan, and a little mic time before destroying the jobber. He was even adopting a more serious demeanor throughout the appearance, one vastly different than the image he had been portraying since arriving on the main roster.

Many fans wondered if Vince McMahon and the writing staff finally had something for Bo. After all, Braun Strowman and Nia Jax are receiving a similar treatment, which is expected to result in a push up the ladder in due time. However, as Cageside Seats is reporting, don’t expect this push to last long at all.
The impetus behind Bo Dallas getting a squash match victory on RAW was to make him look viable for Bin Wang, his opponent this Saturday. Wang, as we reported last month, is the first Chinese superstar signed to a WWE contract, and his debut match will go down in Shanghai in front of his home fans. The WWE wanted Dallas to look formidable to the Chinese fans, as they will show this match prior to the bout with Wang.

The idea, of course, is for Wang to appear strong to this new audience by getting a win over a legit opponent. It’s a completely new product to the Chinese fan base, but the WWE is determined to expand their reach to include China, and Bin Wang is a good bet to help in that endeavor. Meanwhile, for Bo Dallas, he might be headed back to the end of the line.
