‘Once Upon A Time’ Season 6, Episode 1 Synopsis: What Happens In ‘The Savior’? [Spoilers]

Once Upon A Time Season 6 spoilers are coming in quickly, especially as the premiere gets closer to airing on ABC network. For those curious about Episode 1, the synopsis has just been released. What is going to happen in the episode titled “The Savior?”

OUAT spoilers are ahead. If you do not want to know what will happen in the fairy tale drama, then stop reading.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, there are a lot of things that will happen with Hook, Emma, Regina, Rumple, Belle, and the other Storybrooke residents. Three If By Space reported the synopsis for the Season 6 premiere, which reveals additional information.

“The heroes face off against a dangerous new enemy, as Emma (Jennifer Morrison) comes to terms with what it means to be the Savior, and Rumple (Robert Carlyle) enters Belle’s (Emilie de Ravin) dreamscape on the season premiere of ABC’s Once Upon A Time.”

It was reported by Entertainment Weekly that the upcoming season of OUAT would include Morpheus, the Greek god of dreams. Actor Giles Matthey was cast to play the role. Everyone knew that Morpheus would have something to do with Belle’s dreams, especially since she is under a sleeping spell. When spoilers came out that Rumple and Morpheus would share scenes, Once Upon A Time fans wondered how that would work out. Now that the Season 6 premiere synopsis has been released, that information is obvious. Rumple is going to enter Belle’s dreamscape, probably in an attempt to get her forgiveness.

As for Emma Swan, she will learn a secret about herself. Once Upon A Time fans have been speculating for weeks that it has to do with her not being the only Savior. How will this affect her and what choices will it cause her to make? It was teased that in Season 6, Emma will be more like her Season 1 character, riding around in her yellow car and helping others. Will what she discovers change how she approaches situations? Will it affect her future or her relationship with Hook (Colin O’Donoghue)?

As for the rest of the season, Once Upon A Time Season 6 spoilers hint that Regina (Lana Parrilla) will try to stop the Evil Queen. However, she will discover that is easier said than done. Meanwhile, the Evil Queen is determined to destroy everyone, including Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin). Josh Dallas told EW that the OUAT villain would also use mental manipulation.

There is also the addition of new characters, which Mr. Hyde (Sam Witwer) dropped in Storybrooke. Executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis teased to TV Line that these are people who didn’t want their stories to play out. By going to the Land Of Untold Stories, it’s like they pressed the pause button. Why don’t they want to complete their tales, and can Henry (Jared Gilmore) help them?

“What happens to some of these stories if they don’t quite finish the way we thought they did, and were suspended midstream? And what would make characters want to suspend their stories?”

New faces that will be seen include Aladdin (Deniz Akdeniz), Jasmine (Karen David), Jafar (Oded Fehr), and the Count of Monte Cristo (Craig Horner). OUAT fans should look also look forward to returning characters in Season 6. Cinderella (Jessy Schram), Lily (Agnes Bruckner), and Maleficent (Kristin Bauer van Straten) are a few confirmed to appear.
