‘Pokemon GO’ Is Coming To Apple Watch
Apple partnered with Niantic to bring Pokemon GO to the Apple Watch. The announcement of the app, which was made September 7 at the live-streamed Apple event, will be a game changer for Pokemon GO players. The anticipated iPhone 7 and Apple Watch 2 release dates and phone specs were also announced at the Apple convention.
During the Apple live-stream event, there was a staged demo that showed what the app will be capable of on the Apple Watch.

The Pokemon GO app will be an exciting, new experience for users to play the augmented reality game on the fitness wearable. The game uses augmented reality to help players discover Pokemon in the wild, allowing users to “see” Pokemon superimposed over real-world objects.
The Apple Watch Pokemon GO app will display how far the player needs to walk to hatch an egg, how many experience points are required to reach the next level, collectible items from PokeStops, a player’s earned medals, and additional info about the player’s fitness.

The app will see playing as a “work out,” according to Game Spot.
Users will be able to use the Pokemon GO app running in the background and it will ping when Pokemon stops are in range and alert you as to which Pokemon are nearby.
The Pokemon GO app for Apple Watch will allow users to track the progress of your eggs while you’re out for a run or on a stroll through the streets.
The Apple Watch Pokemon GO app will make it easier for players to be more alert without having to have their faces constantly buried in your phone.
A representative from Niantic Labs has cited that Pokemon GO has been downloaded over 500 million times since its launch this summer.
The representative also mentioned that people have walked over 4.6 billion kilometers while playing the game.
“We’re really excited to bring you this new way to experience Pokémon Go, and to give you a little more motivation to get outside, get some exercise, and have fun with your friends.”
However, you do still need to take out your iPhone to capture a Pokemon.
Also revealed at the Apple event on Wednesday was the highly anticipated iPhone 7.
Apple’s CEO Tim Cook announced to the audience that the company will be ditching the headphone socket in favor of a wireless look. iPhone users will either have to use AirPods, wireless Bluetooth headphones, or buy a pair of wired headphones that will plug into the charging port.
AirPods will be available in late October for the price of $159.
The AirPods will also be able to connect to the Apple Watch.
