Drake Robbed: Rapper Has $3 Million Worth Of Jewels Stolen From Tour Bus

According to TMZ, Drake’s official DJ, DJ Future the Prince, had $3 million worth of expensive jewels stolen from the duo’s tour bus on Tuesday night. Phoenix Police Sgt. Vince Lewis said that the crime happened while the two were performing on stage at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in downtown Phoenix.

According to the police report, one suspect snuck onto the tour bus around 10 p.m. or 10:15 p.m. local time and grabbed a briefcase. The briefcase held jewels estimated at a value of $3 million, and police confirmed that the jewels didn’t belong to Drake.

The news outlet also reports that the police are using security footage to try and ID the culprit.

The robbery wasn’t the only shocking news to come out about Drake on Wednesday as his dad told TMZ that the rapper isn’t dating Rihanna. According to Dennis Graham, the two performers are just friends and nothing more.

“There’s no relationship,” Graham said. “They’re friends.”

This would seem to be a direct contradiction to Drake’s claims at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards when he announced to the world that he’s been in love with Rihanna for quite a while.

“She’s someone I’ve been in love with since I was 22 years old,” he said.

In the weeks following the event, the two have been spotted together a number of times. Rihanna and Drake were caught kissing in Miami at one of his concerts, and Rihanna recently got some new ink that was inspired by a camouflaged shark that Drake gave her as a gift. Less than a week later, Drake was spotted with the same ink on his arm, which would certainly seem to signal some sort of relationship.

“I don’t know about settling down,” Graham insisted. “No, they’re friends.”

So either Drake’s father is naive or Drake just completely keeps his dad out of the loop on his relationships. It would be impossible for anyone to believe that Rihanna and Drake aren’t at the very least dating. The two may not be ready to settle down and take things to the next level, but there are definitely feelings there.

So not only did Drake have one of his tour buses robbed of $3 million and have his father deny any sort of relationship between his son and Rihanna, but news also broke on Wednesday that Drake is currently working on an album with Kanye West. Boy, Drake certainly doesn’t live a boring life, does he?

West was the one to confirm the collaboration in an interview with Vogue ahead of his Season 4 fashion show.

“We’re just working on music, working on a bunch of music together, just having fun going into the studio,” he said. “We’re working on an album, so there’s some exciting things coming up soon.”

Entertainment Weekly reports that rumors of such a collaboration have been thrown around since August when Kanye made an appearance at OVO Fest in Toronto. The publication also points out that it will be interesting to see where the album will be released as West dropped The Life of Pablo exclusively on Tidal, but Drake released Views exclusively on Apple Music.

Back in July, West tweeted that the competition between Tidal and Apple Music was messing with the entire music industry.

Yea, it’s definitely going to be interesting to see which company gets the rights to the Drake/Kanye album.
