Watch Carolina Panthers Vs. Denver Broncos Live Stream: NFL 2016 Opener — Start Time, Preview Of Super Bowl Rematch
The Carolina Panthers will seek revenge for their Super Bowl 50 defeat to the Denver Broncos when the teams meet again to open the 2016 National Football League season, in a Thursday Night game that will stream live from Denver — but will feature a Denver team with one huge difference from the team that won the third Super Bowl in franchise history, back in February.
That difference comes at the quarterback position, where future Hall of Famer and all-time great Peyton Manning, who retired following the Super Bowl 50 victory, gives way to Trevor Siemian — a 23-year-old second-year, seventh-round draft pick out of Northwestern University.

Siemian saw action in only one game in 2015 — and for only one play, a run. So, effectively, Thursday’s contest against the NFC champion Panthers, who boasted the league’s sixth-ranked defense in 2015, will be Siemian’s first experience in a competitive NFL game.
The Broncos lost a couple of standout defensive players to free agency, in Malik Jackson and Danny Trevathan — but they retained two-time first-time All Pro linebacker Von Miller, who recorded 11 sacks last season and will look to disrupt Panthers quarterback and 2015 NFL MVP Cam Newton at least as effectively as he managed to do in Super Bowl 50.

Despite the obvious matchup of Super Bowl opponents, Newton was adamant that Thursday’s game is not a “rematch” of last season’s championship game.
“I’m so focused on the lead-up to our game on Thursday. I can’t look back,” the 27-year-old, fourth-year superstar signal caller said this week. “A lot of people are going to make it a rematch, but it’s not a rematch. It’s just our next opponent.”
The ESPN First Take panel had their own thoughts on whether or not the Thursday night season opener is a “rematch” or not. Find out what they said in the video below.

To watch a live stream of the Carolina Panthers vs. Denver Broncos 2016 NFL season opening game, see the streaming links at the bottom of this article. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time at Sports Authority Field, aka Mile High Stadium, in Denver, Colorado. That start time would be 8:30 p.m. Eastern Time, 5:30 Pacific.
Denver defeated Carolina 24-10 in the Super Bowl back on February 7, despite the Panthers defense holding a struggling Peyton Manning to just 141 yards in the air on 13 completions out of 23 attempts.

Newton tossed for 265 yards — but completed only 18 of 41 attempts while adding another 45 yards on the ground.
But Newton is not the only Panther who has convinced himself that the Thursday night game has no connection to that game seven months earlier.
“The hoopla, the pregame stuff isn’t really too much of a concern. We’re trying to win one game. It just so happens that we’re playing them. This is not the Super Bowl,” tight end Greg Olson contended. “This is not revenge for the Super Bowl. That’s not our focus. We’re just trying to win a game. It just happens to be the same team.”
