‘The Walking Dead’ Spoilers: New Trailer Rules Out Popular Death Theory?
The Walking Dead dropped a brand new trailer for Season 7 on Tuesday night. However, they may have also accidentally dropped a huge spoiler. In the trailer, it appears that one of the main characters is seen battling zombies, which could rule out a popular death theory.
According to the Huffington Post, the brand new Walking Dead Season 7 trailer is pretty awesome. Not only do fans get to see more of super villain Negan, but they also get a glimpse of some of the action that’s in store when the series returns to television. In one quick clip, it appears that the character of Abraham Ford is alive, and well enough to take on a group of ravenous walkers.
If the character, seen at the 21-second mark of the new teaser trailer, is Abraham, it would blow the lid off of many fan theories about who Negan killed in the Season 6 finale. Many fans believe that either Abraham, Glenn, or possibly both, will be revealed as Negan’s victim(s). Perhaps the zombie encounter could be an Abraham flashback, but as of now, it appears Abraham could survive Negan’s bat.
However, Walking Dead fans point out that the character could possibly be Dwight. Dwight has a similar hair color and facial hair to Abraham, which can be seen in the clip. Of course, it could also be a character that viewers have yet to meet.
Even though recent comments by actor Michael Cudlitz, who plays Abraham, seem to indicate that his character lives past the gruesome Negan scene, fans aren’t buying it. Popular fan site The Spoiling Dead have revealed that Cudlitz as well as actor Steven Yeun, who plays Glenn, have seemingly only filmed one episode. This leaves the majority of viewers to believe both of the characters will be killed by Negan in the Season 7 premiere.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, rumors are also flying that Glenn could possibly live through Negan’s attack. Although Glenn is the character who is killed by Negan in The Walking Dead comic book series, the TV show has a history of switching up deaths to keep fans on their toes. In a recent video made for singer Demi Lovato for her birthday, Steven Yeun is seen on set wishing the singer a happy birthday. Could this mean that Glenn is alive? Has the show has been hiding Yeun away to fuel speculation and surprise fans who believe they know Glenn’s fate?
Season 7 of The Walking Dead is set to be the biggest yet, and fans are eagerly awaiting the premiere in October. In addition to finding out who Negan’s victim is, viewers will also find out more about Negan in general. The Inquisitr has reported that Negan’s backstory will be told, and will likely follow the origin comic book, which reveals the villain is a nasty gym teacher who enjoys being unfaithful to his wife. Fans might even get to see how Negan came up with the name for his trusty baseball bat, Lucille.
“We’ll find out how Negan has come to be who he is. We’re going to get some backstory very quickly on how the Saviors operate and how Negan operates,” actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan revealed.
As filming for Season 7 pushes forward, spoilers have been leaked about the possible mid-season finale. Rumor has it that Negan will kill yet another member of Rick’s group and that a new beach location is likely to be seen. Sadly, it looks like the last living member of Deanna’s family, Spencer, may be the one to bite the dust this time around.
What are your thoughts on the latest Walking Dead spoilers for Season 7? Do you think Glenn and/or Abraham will make it out alive?
Everything you have belongs to Negan now. #TWD returns Sunday, October 23.
