Shannon Beador Blames Severe Illness For Ignoring ‘RHOC’ Co-Stars

Shannon Beador was excited when she learned that her husband had planned a huge vow renewal for them on her birthday. The couple had gotten engaged on her birthday years ago and now he was planning a vow renewal for them, so they could solidify their marriage. Beador was surprised but also emotional over the fact that her husband took such a big initiative. And with a vow renewal and a surprise honeymoon trip, Shannon didn’t have enough energy to go on the Glamis trip that Tamra Judge had planned for Eddie Judge’s birthday. So when Beador didn’t show up, it had nothing to do her ongoing drama with her Real Housewives of Orange County co-stars.

According to a new Bravo report, Shannon Beador is now revealing that she had been coughing quite a bit due to her bronchiectasis. Apparently, Beador suffers from some lung issues after having pneumonia many times throughout her life. So, if Beador was to go on the trip to the desert, all of the sand would have made breathing difficult. This is the excuse that Shannon Beador is using for not going on the Glamis trip.

“I would just like to address a few points about the Glamis trip. Tamra is fully aware that I have bronchiectasis in both of my lungs. It is basically permanent damage to bronchial tubes that have resulted from at least 16 bouts of pneumonia. I cough 24/7 and can get lung infections with the snap of a finger. One of the stupidest things I could do would be to travel to a windy sand dune where I could inhale tiny particles of sand. I didn’t have a negative or lousy attitude, I followed the instructions of my pulmonologist. It had nothing to do with Vicki or Kelly,” Shannon Beador reveals in her Bravo blog for The Real Housewives of Orange County.

But now that she’s watching the episode herself, she is glad that she missed the trip altogether. Of course, the ladies had no idea that they would get injured as much as they did on the trip and Shannon Beador is glad that she didn’t have to go through it all with them.

“As it turns out, I was quite fortunate to have missed the Glamis trip. I can’t imagine going through everything the women did, and I commend them all for their strength. Can’t wait to see the next episode. Until next week…” Shannon Beador concludes her blog for Bravo.

Interestingly, Shannon’s decision not to go on the trip is very convenient, considering she wanted nothing to do Vicki Gunvalson earlier this year. Beador still felt very betrayed by Vicki, who claimed that she had nothing to do with the cancer scandal that rocked Orange County last year. Many of her co-stars wanted her to admit to what she knew and take accountability for her involvement in the cancer lie. But Vicki claims she knew nothing and doesn’t want to admit to anything. This has caused some of the ladies to distance themselves from her.

Shannon Beador has revealed that she has forgiven Vicki so she doesn’t hold a grudge, but she has no plans of moving on and start a friendship with her again. In fact, things were so bad between them that Beador considered leaving The Real Housewives of Orange County, according to Pensacola’s Jet.
