The show has teamed up with the American Red Cross to host a nationwide blood drive. Although they have spent hours killing the mindless and evil zombies on screen, the cast and crew want to give back to the world of the living and bolster blood reserves across the country.

Instead of just sitting around and counting the hours until the Walking Dead premiere on October 22, head to your local American Red Cross bloodmobile, donate a pint, and enter to win a 3-day, 2-night trip to the set during Season 4. Anyone entering the blood drive sweepstakes between now and a few minutes before the new season starts can win a chance to see zombies up close and personal, according to the AMCTV website.

The Use Your Brains Give Blood campaign link on the Walking Dead website helps fans find a donation center near their home and register for the AMC set visit contest. Individuals must be at least 21 years of age to enter and must live in either the United States or Canada, Quebec is excluded. The lucky winner gets to take a friend along for the exciting visit.

The Walking Dead trip includes round-trip airfare for two, a double occupancy room at a hotel chosen by the blood drive campaign sponsor, transportation to and from the set, and $500 worth of spending money.
