Chase Landry Of ‘Swamp People’ Arrested After Shooting At A Boat
Shocking news came out today about Chase Landry of Swamp People. The reality star was arrested after shooting at a boat that he felt was going too fast. It’s unclear if there was a camera filming Chase when this all went down.
TMZ shared the news about Chase Landry getting arrested and what went down with the reality star. The fact that he decided to take care of someone speeding instead of getting in touch with police is what landed Chase Landry behind bars.
Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office explained what happened with Chase Landry. This all happened when Chase Landry was arrested for illegal discharge of a weapon after shooting at a speeding boat in Bayou Chene, Louisiana. Luckily, nobody was hurt when Chase shot at the boat, but it did cause some damage.
When this all happened, Chase Landry was out hunting for alligators. The boat was speeding, and Chase was afraid that it would hit and sink his boat. This boat refused to slow down, so Chase decided to shoot at the boat hoping this would work. It was a shrimp boat that Chase hit, and it ended up leaking gasoline from a hole that looked like it was from a gunshot. They may think twice about going so fast in the future, but Chase ended up in trouble over shooting at the boat this time.

After shooting at the boat, Chase Landry took off in his own boat before the police showed up. Of course, they were able to catch up with Chase later, and he was arrested. At first, Chase was just taken in for questioning, but he admitted to firing the gun and was arrested. No word yet on if Chase Landry was able to get out of jail yet. He hasn’t been on his Twitter account in over a week.
NOLA shared that even though Chase Landry is in the news for something bad now, not long ago he spent five days rescuing people in a boat. During the Louisiana flood, Chase was out helping rescue people.
He said, “I realized then the seriousness of it, that this is how bad things were. I jumped in action and grabbed my boat.”
Landry went on to say, “Quite a few of the older people we rescued, they were concerned with how many — seven or eight or 10 or 12 people could be in the boat — and I would tell them, ‘Don’t worry about the boat. I can put 30 alligators in here, so I can carry eight to 10 of y’all.'”

The eighth season of Swamp People is being filmed right now. Fans would love it if some of Chase’s good deeds made it on the show as well. Some people knew who Chase Landry was, but others didn’t. He had some law enforcement friends tell him where to go to help people out.
Chase Landry explained more of how it went down.
“That Friday in Central over there, it was pure chaos. There were people left and right and, quite a few times, we probably couldn’t have put anymore people in (the boat). Wherever we were told where there were people, we jumped and sprung into action. People were really scared. They were in a bind, and they needed help.”
