‘Dance Moms’ Drama Erupts As Abby Lee Miller Throws Shade At Maddie Ziegler’s Clothing Line

There’s no questioning Maddie Ziegler’s talent on the dance floor, but the young talent is eager to branch out into new areas of creativity now. Previously, Maddie has revealed plans to release some of her written works in a memoir and in a fiction series, which suggests the former Dance Moms star is interested in pursuing her limitless creativity in new areas.

Now, Ziegler is experimenting with fashion design, releasing her own brand of clothing, but not everyone shares Ziegler’s enthusiasm. Another Dance Moms celebrity, Abby Lee Miller, is opening up about her opinion of Maddie’s line of apparel and she doesn’t seem to be a fan.

So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation Judge Maddie Ziegler Shares Her Style

In their style section, People magazine reveals that the So You Think You Can Dance judge is providing her fans with an opportunity to emulate her further by releasing clothing modeled after Maddie’s own style. Offered under the simple Maddie Style moniker the line of apparel will be available to girls and juniors in the coming fall season. Ziegler says she’s excited about her coming line of clothing because it offers a new style for girls who have outgrown child themes so common among similar sizes and age groups.

“There’s a gap I feel. Kids’ clothes are either too childish or something I would never wear,” Maddie says. “And sometimes adult clothes are either too big on me or it’s just too grown up for me. I’m really excited to find the in-between so we can relate to what we want to wear instead of trying to look like something we’re not.”

Ziegler describes her line as “casual chic and tomboyish yet girly” outfits and reveals that the 30 piece line consists of bomber jackets, flannel shirts, high-waisted jeans, baseball tees, and gray slouchy sweaters. Maddie Style also features tops for girls, which will have the entire line’s slogan, “wear what moves you,” printed in stylish lettering.

The Maddie Style collection is affordable for most families with prices ranging from $25 to $150. Sizes will range from seven through 16 for girls and one, three, and five for juniors.

Dance Moms‘ Abby Lee Miller Had Her Own Plans For A Maddie Ziegler Clothing Line

Just as 13-year-old Maddie Ziegler was preparing to release news of her upcoming Maddie Style clothing line, International Business Times reveals that Dance Moms celebrity Abby Lee Miller was already sharing videos of Ziegler and her younger sister, Mackenzie Ziegler, which Miller had planned to use to promote her own offering of children’s clothing. One video shared by Miller featured previously unreleased footage of the Ziegler girls dancing to Madonna’s “Vogue” in a factory. Much like Ziegler’s upcoming line, Abby described her failed project as an “upscale, innovating” line just for girls in Ziegler’s age range.

In a statement, Abby described the partnership as a blending of her own fashion design expertise, the Ziegler girls’ fame and dancing talents, and unnamed partners with experience in the fashion industry. The deal seemed to have fallen through though and, in speaking about it, Miller seemed to lay some blame at Maddie Ziegler, suggesting she pulled out to go it alone.

“Sometimes in business, things happen, maybe somebody changes their mind, loses one of their favorite shoes, or gets a better deal? I’m still on my mission to supply exquisite apparel for the girl who always wants to be the best dressed at the ball!”

Nonetheless, Ms. Miller went on to wish Ziegler “all the best” with Maddie Style.

Ziegler’s young fans can begin ordering clothes online via the Maddie Style website on October 3. The line will also appear in select Nordstrom stores on October 10.
