Selena Gomez Has A ‘Type’ In Men And It’s Not Justin Bieber
Selena Gomez may not be dating at the moment, but she knows who she wants to date. The singer is on the cover of Vogue Australia for their September issue, and she poured her heart out talking about the kind of relationship she would like to have, Us Weekly has reported.
“The guys that do have the confidence to hit on me are not necessarily my type, but they think they are because I’m a pop star, I sing songs, do movies, I like to feel sexy and confident on stage,” she told the magazine. “I’d be so stoked with a writer or producer or actor who is low-key, but those kind of guys are terrified of me!”
Given how famous Selena Gomez is, it’s not surprising that she wants to be low-key. But a low-key “actor, writer or producer,” it looks like Selena really does know what she is talking about.
She says her private life has overshadowed her career in a way, and she goes on to say that it’s true that not everyone knows everything and that they can only assume.
She says she’s afraid people think it’s “dumb” to date her.
“I think people would think it’s kind of dumb [to date me],” the singer said. “Nobody would want to throw themselves into that situation where it was so heightened publicly, like, why would they?”
However, Selena Gomez did go on to say that she loves to hang out and have fun. Which means that everyone who has been thinking about asking her out, should do so now!
It’s true that Selena Gomez hasn’t been able to cut herself off from the numerous rumors that link her with Justin Bieber. The Inquisitr had reported that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez had a war of words on Instagram, which involved his current girlfriend as well. Things certainly got ugly and it seemed like Selena ended up calling attention to the very thing she had been resisting — her private life.
Despite her honest confession to W magazine earlier this year, in which she famously said, “I am done with Justin Bieber,” it doesn’t look like Selena Gomez is doing enough to really take everyone’s attention away from her past relationship with Justin Bieber.
“I’m so exhausted,” she had said. “I honestly am so done. I care about his health and well-being. But I can’t do it anymore.” Clearly, it doesn’t look like Gomez is “done.”
Selena Gomez had also talked about the pressures of her relationship with Justin Bieber. She’d said that the only reason they got into a relationship was because she thought they looked cute together.
However, it looks like Justin Bieber has been going around the town saying that he was used by Selena Gomez for publicity. Us Weekly reported that Justin Bieber accused Selena Gomez of using him to get attention.
“Justin thinks Selena is all about attention so that’s why he said that,” a source close to Bieber told Us Weekly.
“He remembers she always brought him out to be seen with him in the beginning, especially that Vanity Fair Oscars party,” the source says of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez’s 2011 appearance. “She was the one who made him go out with her to that. She was always about making their relationship public and getting publicity, and he thinks that’s what she is doing now.”

While these questions are hard to answer, it’s clear that if Selena Gomez wants to distance herself from Bieber, she’d have to learn to keep herself away from the controversy.
