‘The Originals’ Season 4 Spoilers: Marcel Forced To Wake Up Klaus Because Of New Villain?

The Originals Season 4 does not premiere on The CW network until next year. However, it is one TV show that people can’t stop talking about. The events of the season finale are still fresh in everyone’s mind and fans are wondering what will happen next. There is a theory that the new big bad will force Marcel Gerard to wake up Klaus Mikaelson. Is this speculation a possibility?

Following the season finale of The Originals, the Inquisitr speculated that Marcel Gerard (Charles Michael Davis) may wake up Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan). At the time, there were a few explanations for the theory. One was the possibility of an enemy that Marcel couldn’t beat on his own.

TV Guide also announced that Season 4 would see a sadistic vampire as the new big bad after Michael Narducci denied reports that Marcel was the enemy. The new villain has a grudge against Klaus that goes back centuries and will stop at nothing to get what he came for. The first person he latches on to is Vincent, portrayed by Yusuf Gatewood.

Since the character description was released, more people are wondering if Marcel really could be forced to wake up the comatose character. A recent report from Game & Guide tied in the theory with the new villain in The Originals. The website speculated that the sadistic vampire coming into town will make Marcel wake up his old friend, the same one he ruthlessly and brutally punished for Davina’s (Danielle Campbell) death.

Executive producer Julie Plec teased to Entertainment Weekly that the sadistic vampire is not the first to arrive in New Orleans looking for Klaus. Over the past five years, there have been plenty of people who wanted to see Klaus permanently erased from the Earth. In an odd way, Marcel putting Klaus in a coma and hiding him in a secret tomb has actually saved his life. If the theory is correct, this new big bad must be incredibly powerful. So powerful and mighty that Marcel has no choice but to awaken Klaus Mikaelson.

“The indignity of Klaus Mikaelson’s situation the last five years [is being] held captive by his surrogate son and forced to be an advisor to a king that he does not recognize. Also, [he knows] Marcel is actually singularly responsible for the fact he’s alive, because so many people have come to town in the last five years desperate to see him reduced to ash.”

It has also been teased that this new villain will try to destroy everyone and everything in New Orleans. If this is the case, Klaus and Marcel are going to have to unite to stop him. This means the two will have to put their grievances aside and think about saving the city.

There are some fans who believe Klaus and Marcel will reconcile. While there is always a chance of that in The Originals, don’t count on it. Klaus understands Marcel’s reasoning, but that doesn’t mean he will forgive him. At best, the two will probably co-exist in a civil manner, but their relationship has been damaged. Not to mention that Klaus had to go five years without seeing his little girl. That not only affected the vampire, but Hope’s (Phoebe Tonkin) daughter as well.
