Malin Akerman Is Pregnant With Her First Child

Malin Akerman is pregnant with her first child, according to the Rock of Ages actress’s rep on Saturday. The actress and her husband Roberto Zincone will welcome their first child into the world next year.

Akerman, 34, is also known for her roles in Wanderlust and Watchmen, while Zincone is the drummer in The Petalstones, her former band, according to People Magazine.

The couple married in Italy in 2007, and the actress has made it no secret that she believes herself a lucky woman. Akerman stated in 2009:

“I really hit the jackpot. Roberto is so accepting and supportive.”

While she revealed that not everyone had faith that their romance would last, they are content with proving skeptics wrong. Akerman stated, “People would say, ‘I’ll give the two of you five years.’ But it gets better and better every day.”

Malin Akerman’s rep confirmed the pregnancy exclusively to US Weekly. The actress previously stated in June 2011 that she and her hubby “absolutely” wanted children sooner, not later. The actress also believes that her husband will be a fantastic dad because of his easygoing demeanor. The actress stated, “We rarely bicker. We’ll sort of fume at each other and then we’ll figure it out.”

Malin also dished that the couple is very good at keeping their romance alive, no matter where they happen to be. She revealed that:

“We’ve had some really great experiences. When I was shooting [2009’s Couples Retreat] in Bora Bora, he came out there and it was like a honeymoon that we never had. We get really lucky and we make it work.”

Pregnant Malin Akerman has also vowed that she will never spend more than two to three weeks away from hubby Roberto Zincone.
