Jamie Fraser ( Sam Heughan ) and Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) will reunite on Season 3 of Outlander .
Spoilers reveal that Heughan and Balfe are getting ready to film scenes together once again. How and when will Jamie and Claire find each other in the new season?
Celeb Dirty Laundry is reporting that construction has started on the famous print shop where Jamie and Claire unite in the books.
Jon Gary Steele, a production designer for the hit show, recently shared a behind the scenes photo of the print shop on social media.
“A wee sneak peek into Season 3,” he wrote alongside the image.
The third season of Outlander is based on the novel by Diana Gabaldon, titled Voyager .
In the books, Jamie and Claire spend 20 years apart following the Battle of Culloden, where Claire presumed Jamie died.
After Claire learns that Jamie survived the battle, she travels back in time and seeks to reunite with her long lost love.
The couple will meet up in the print shop and then proceed to travel across the globe to exotic places. In fact, a good chunk of the season will take place on board ships that take the characters as far as Jamaica.
Heughan started filming for the new season a few weeks ago, but Balfe has yet to join him on set.
According to Hall of Fame Magazine , Balfe’s absence spawned rumors of health problems and delays in production.
Now, it looks like Balfe was not involved because Heughan was filming separate scenes prior to their reunion. With the print shop under construction, it’s only a matter of time before the actors start working together once again.
In addition to the print shop spoiler, International Business Times reports that executive producer Maril Davis has been sharing pictures of the scenery in Scotland .
Davis sarcastically wrote that it was “another ‘ugly’ day in Scotland” beside on pic of the Scottish countryside.

Steele also shared a few snapshots of a few old buildings on Instagram. He didn’t reveal why the buildings are important, though they might be included in the coming season.
At the same time, International Business Times revealed the first look at Jamie in the new season.
The picture shows Heughan walking through a field with blood pouring down his face. The shot is thought to be a part of the Battle of Culloden .

Sadly, the image is before the 20-year time jump, so fans will still have to wait to see what Jamie looks like as an older man.
Of course, Heughan recently teased fans about his plans for aging Jamie the natural way.
“I’m thinking about getting really fat. I’m thinking eating a lot and not working out would be really good,” Heughan shared. “It’s less about his appearance and more about who he is without Claire.”
Meanwhile, showrunner Ron D. Moore also explained how Outlander’s Season 3 will be completely different from what fans have seen the past two seasons.

“It’s going to be a completely different show. Next year’s stuff is probably the most interesting, in a way,” Moore explained. “We’ve been setting it up, setting the stage, introducing these characters, and now it goes into new, different worlds.”
Moore added that he doesn’t want Jamie and Claire to reunite at the start of the season, and the writers are still working out when the characters will find their way back to each other.
“Like I said, we’re still kind of figuring that out, but you should feel that 20 years has passed and it shouldn’t be easy,” he stated. “That’s a huge separation for them and they think they’ll never see each other again.”
