Tamar Braxton Breaks Silence After Domestic Dispute With Husband Vince Herbert [Video]
Tamar Braxton is speaking out for the first time after police were called to a domestic dispute between herself and husband Vince Herbert on August 21.
Braxton was recently quizzed about the incident, during which Herbert allegedly bit her on the hand, by awaiting paparazzi, where Tamar took the opportunity to defend her relationship with her husband and told fans speculating about the current status of her marriage that they could “take several seats.”
Tamar made the remarks about her marriage to photographers who caught the reality star walking through the airport around two weeks after the domestic dispute incident took place, making it pretty clear that things were still all good between herself and her husband.
“Just because somebody says something doesn’t make it law,” Tamar told paparazzi in the candid video that was later uploaded to Instagram by Braxton fan @TamarHQ. “I’m not even [trying to] defend my relationship to anybody. Ever. This is a marriage.”
“This is not my baby daddy. This is not my boyfriend. We don’t live together. This is my husband for 13 years,” Tamar continued according to a transcript of her comments published by lovebscott.com as fans continue to speculate about the recent accusations of domestic violence. “So everybody else can have several seats.”
Braxton was then asked by the photographer if she and Vince are “good” and “happy” following their domestic dispute, to which Tamar replied, “God is good.”
Tamar’s latest claims mark the first time the Braxton Family Values star has officially spoken out about her recent domestic dispute with her husband, though Braxton and Herbert were spotted together and holding hands just one day after the argument took place after returning from a trip to Atlanta, Georgia.
TMZ’s paparazzi spotted Braxton and Herbert, who married in 2008, returning from their trip to Atlanta on August 22, where Tamar and Vince could be seen holding hands as they made their way through the airport.
Though awaiting photographers asked Tamar Braxton and Vince Herbert for “verbal confirmation” that they were all good following the domestic violence allegations, both opted to stay silent with Vince instead offering a thumbs up when asked if he and his wife were okay. The marriage drama surrounding Tamar and Vince first started after Bossip reported that the twosome, who have a three-year-old son together, got into an “intense domestic dispute” at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Atlanta, which supposedly turned violent and saw Vince bite his wife so hard on the hand that he “drew blood.”
“Vince actually bit Tamar on her hand so badly that he drew blood,” the site claimed, shortly before TMZ published audio of the 911 call from the domestic incident in which a male voice can be heard requesting police assistance for Tamar because she had been bitten.
Neither Braxton nor Herbert have officially spoken out about reports claiming that Vince bit her during their recent trip to Atlanta, though Daily Mail confirmed that police attended the scene at the Georgia hotel on August 21 only to find that Vince had fled before determining that no crime had been committed. The site claimed that police who responded to the 911 call “learned that it was just a verbal dispute and nothing criminal had transpired,” meaning that no one was charged with any kind of wrongdoing during Braxton and Vince’s recent domestic dispute.
Lovebscott.com also reported that Tamar and Vince were recently caught up in a domestic dispute, claiming that an eyewitness saw things turn physical between Braxton and her husband.
The eyewitness, who claimed to work at the Atlanta hotel but was not named in the report, told the site that Tamar and Vince have allegedly “had multiple domestic abuse issues in the past,” but noted that “this time there’s evidence” because so many people in the hotel saw Braxton’s latest domestic dispute with her husband.“Anyone who works with the Braxton family knows, that Tamar & Vince literally fist fight,” the source alleged, “then they do a video after to dispel rumors.”
