Jared Fogle Adds Insult To Injury By Suing Parents Of One Of His Child Porn Victims [Video]

Jared Fogle fell from his Subway pitchman pedestal last August when he was charged with violating multiple federal child porn and child sex abuse charges. Ultimately, Jared Fogle pleaded guilty to crossing state lines to pay children for sexual acts and receiving at least 400 videos featuring child porn. All in all, as NPR reports, Jared Fogle was sentenced to over 15 years in federal prison for the crimes he admitted to committing.

“Will serve a minimum of 13 before parole. Lifetime supervised release.”

Fogle also agreed to pay $1.4 million to 14 victims in restitution to (at least in part) compensate them for the things they endured as well to help them pay for counseling and other forms of treatment that they may require due to the abuse they endured at the hands of Jared Fogle.

Jared Fogle, previously known far and wide as “Subway’s Jared” after becoming the sandwich chain’s weight-loss idol and spokesman, is currently serving out his sentence in a federal prison in Colorado. However, despite being behind bars for the foreseeable future, Jared Fogle can’t seem to say out of the public eye.

It has been widely reported that prison food isn’t doing much to help Jared Fogle maintain his Subway-svelte physique, and there are plenty of rumors that he’s packing on much of the weight he so famously lost by eating Subway sandwiches. In March, Jared Fogle reportedly learned first hand what often happens to child sex offenders in prison. Even the famous one.

Apparently, Fogle was beaten up by a fellow inmate while chilling in the prison yard. The inmate that did the beating of Jared Fogle was reportedly 60-year-old Steven Nigg, who was doing time for weapons charges. Reportedly, Jared Fogle suffered a pretty decent beating in that incident, which was widely reported across news and gossip websites as well as by the mainstream media.

Despite the fact that he was on the losing end of a prison beating, not many people were willing or able to muster up any sympathy for Jared Fogle. In fact, the shocking news of his involvement in child porn and child sex crimes followed by his quick guilty plea made the former Subway spokesman something of an instant pariah last year.

His latest course of action, as reported by Fox News, is infuriating even more folks.

According to recent reports, Jared Fogle has decided to add insult to injury in the case of one of his victims. Remember, Jared pleaded guilty to the charges against him. However, he had apparently decided to try to recoup some of the $1.4 million he paid out to the victims of his vile crimes by suing the parents of one of his minor victims.

Why?

According to Jared Fogle and his legal team, his victim’s parents are at least partially to blame for the fact that Jared was able to victimize her.

You read that right.

Jared Fogle, in a lawsuit filed Thursday, accuses the parents of one of his child porn victims (an unidentified female) of creating a home environment that facilitated what Jared calls the girl’s “destructive behaviors.” In his lawsuit, he claims that the girl’s parent are to blame for any injuries the girl many have sustained as a result of her unlawful sexual interaction with Jared Fogle — at least in part.

In Fogle’s own words, he says that the parents of the young girl in question (aka Jane Doe), “through their actions, caused or significantly contributed to the injuries and damages alleged by Jane Doe in her complaint against the Defendants.”

The actions cited by Jared in his lawsuit against the parents of his young victim include “hateful and abusive relationship toward each other, which included, but was not limited to, engaging in frequent fighting and arguing between themselves; abusing alcohol and getting drunk; and engaging in frequent fighting, physical abuse, and arguing with Jane Doe.”

The victim, whose parents have now been targeted by Jared Fogle, was allegedly one of the many subjects that was observed in the child porn related to Jared’s criminal case. She and her family filed a civil suit against Jared Fogle earlier this year seeking monetary damages for personal injury and emotional distress.

It appears that Thursday’s lawsuit, filed by Jared Fogle against his victim’s parents, may be an attempt by Fogle to mitigate some of his financial obligations to the sexually abused girl and/or her family.
