‘The 100’ Season 4 Spoilers: Bob Morley Discusses Octavia — Bellamy’s Redemption Teased
The 100 Season 4 will not premiere until next year. However, there are still small spoilers that come out occasionally. Recently, Bob Morley discussed Bellamy and Octavia’s relationship in the upcoming season. Also, is there any chance that he can be redeemed?
Spoilers for The 100 Season 4 are ahead. If you don’t want to risk knowing what could happen in the post-apocalyptic series, then stop reading.
Last season, Bellamy joined Pike’s (Michael Beach) anti-Grounder team. The same leader that Bob Morley’s character looked up to executed Octavia’s (Marie Avgeropoulos) boyfriend, Lincoln (Ricky Whittle). The Blake siblings have always experienced a difficult relationship, especially as Octavia got older and became more independent. However, Lincoln’s death on The 100 was too much for Marie Avgeropoulos’ character. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Octavia is going to become a killing machine in Season 4.
So, where does this leave Bellamy and Octavia’s relationship in The 100 Season 4? Will the Blake siblings reconcile or will Octavia’s rage continue? Specific details have not been released yet, but Bob Morley hopes for the best, the actor told TV Insider.
“For these first few seasons, I’ve seen it as not only a brother-sister relationship but also a father-daughter relationship. But Bellamy wasn’t equipped to be a father figure, and Octavia was going through her angsty teen phase. Hopefully, we become more like brother and sister and talk to each other as equals, as adults.”
As for Bellamy’s redemption in The 100, time will tell if that can really happen. However, the actor said that his character does go to extremes trying to make up for bad decisions. For example, in Season 1, Bellamy threw away the radio. So, in Season 2, he decided to enter Mount Weather and sacrifice himself. Yes, it is extreme, but that is part of Bellamy’s personality. He tries to do the right thing and feels tremendous guilt when he is wrong. Since his actions caused Lincoln to be killed, it will be interesting how far Bellamy will go to make things right with his sister. Of course, he can’t give Lincoln’s life back, so how can he make thinks okay with his sister?
Other spoilers for The 100 Season 4 include Octavia joining a new group. These are people that viewers may know, but it is unclear who they are or if they have her best interests in mind. According to Showbiz Junkies, Marie Avgeropoulos said that Octavia will go down some dark and twisted paths. As fans know, she is still grieving but hasn’t been able to deal with it in a healthy way. The only thing she feels right now is rage.
Regarding the new threat in The 100 Season 4, showrunner Jason Rothenberg confirmed ALIE (Erica Cerra) was being honest about the nuclear disaster. It was previously speculated that Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and the Sky Crew would try to stop it. However, it isn’t something that can be stopped, slowed down, or reasoned with. The only thing that they can do is try to survive the second apocalypse.
At Comic-Con 2016, Rothenberg teased that there are not enough lifeboats. This seems to imply that those chosen to have a chance at survival will be traveling somewhere. Do they know the locations of the safe areas? ALIE said only 4 percent of the Earth would be habitable, but how would they know where these places are? Finally, who gets to decide which human beings are worthy of surviving and which ones have to stay behind to die?
