Jared Fogle Suing Child Porn Victim’s Parents: Convicted Pedophile Insists Guardians Should Share Blame For Troubled Teen’s Problems
Former Subway pitchman Jared Fogle, who is currently serving a 15-year prison sentence for child pornography possession, has filed a lawsuit blaming the parents of one of his victims. Fogle, a convicted pedophile, insists the parents of the girl should also be blamed for the teen’s poor mental health, and not him.
Convicted pedophile and disgraced former Subway pitchman Jared Fogle, who was sentenced to jail for a laundry list of child sex offenses, has filed a counter lawsuit. The lawsuit states that Fogle must not be held responsible for the poor mental state of his victim, and insists that the troubled teen’s parents must be blamed instead.

Fogle, who is currently serving his sentence at a federal prison in Colorado, has filed the lawsuit blaming the girl’s parents for her psychological problems including repetitive and self-harming cycle of despair, self-deprecating behavior as well as abuse of alcohol and drugs. According to court documents obtained by The Daily Mail, Fogle claims that the girl’s parents, identified only as B.T. and J.T., are to blame for what ails the child and what happened to her.
Apparently, Fogle is trying to absolve himself of the mental trauma the girl, identified only as Jane Doe, is going through, and distancing him from her deteriorated mental health. It is a legal attempt at relieving himself from full responsible for the claims listed in the original lawsuit filed by the troubled teen, reported Complex.

Fogle is blaming the parents of one of his victims, claiming it was they who neglected their child, and owing to their destructive behavior, drove her into depression. Fogle’s lawyers claimed the parents were constantly abusive to each other in front of the teen.
“B.T. and J.T. maintained a hateful and abusive relationship toward each other, which included, but was not limited to, engaging in frequent fighting and arguing between themselves; abusing alcohol and getting drunk; and engaging in frequent fighting, physical abuse, and arguing with Jane Doe, which caused Jane Doe to suffer from emotional distress, anxiety, and major depression before she learned of any allegations [about Fogle and Taylor].”
Towards the end of their marriage, Jane Doe’s parents were quarreling bitterly about the custody of the teen, continued Fogle. The constant bickering about custody and parenting arrangements “caused unnecessary stress, anxiety, and trauma for Jane Doe,” claims the lawsuit.

Incidentally, Jane Doe has a separate lawsuit against Jared Fogle, in which she noted that she has contemplated suicide on multiple occasions, has slept with multiple sexual partners and abused alcohol and drugs to combat the intense depression. She has blamed her mental ailments on Jared Fogle and Russell Taylor. More specifically, Jane Doe claims the severe mental impact of learning that she had been videotaped by Taylor and Fogle, was the cause of her depression.
Why is Fogle suing the parents of the child porn victim? Fogle, a millionaire and a former diet guru, has been found guilty of engaging in child pornography. He is currently serving a 15-year sentence after pleading guilty in federal court to child pornography possession charges. He also admitted to traveling to pay for sexual encounters with minors.

It appears Fogle’s counter-lawsuit is meant to subdue Jane Doe’s claims that he is solely responsible for her predicament. Jane Doe’s lawsuit could cause even more harm to Fogle, who isn’t eligible for parole for another 13 years.
At his sentencing in November, Fogle vowed he was a changed man and added he intends to redeem his life. He claimed that he felt for his victims and has realized the impact he had on their lives through his actions.
While the true extent of crimes committed by Jared Fogle and Russell Taylor may never be fully known, fourteen of Fogle’s victims, including Jane Doe, have been identified so far.
