Nick Viall Is ‘The Bachelor’! A Few Fun Facts About The ‘Most Deserving’ Contestant Ever

Nick Viall might be the most famous Bachelor runner-up in the history of the franchise.

Despite his struggles finding love, everything changed after ABC picked Viall to be the next star of The Bachelor. While many fans did not expect Viall to land the coveted part, here are a fun few facts about the most deserving contestant ever.

According to the Washington Post, Viall has appeared in three seasons of ABC’s reality franchise.

Viall first made an appearance back in 2014 to fight for Andi Dorfman’s heart on The Bachelorette. Although Viall made it to the final round, Dorfman chose Josh Murray in the end.

During the After the Final Rose episode, Viall made headlines when he confronted Dorfman about sleeping with him in the Fantasy Suites.

“If you weren’t in love with me, I’m just not sure why, like, why you made love with me,” Viall told her.

Viall received a lot of backlash for revealing what happened behind closed doors, but he still landed a spot on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season of The Bachelorette.

Viall was a surprise contestant mid-way through the season and lasted, once again, until the final round when Bristowe handed her final rose to Shawn Booth.

The two disappointing losses didn’t stop Viall for trying again when he appeared on Season 3 of Bachelor in Paradise.

However, during his time on Paradise, Viall took a different approach to finding love. Although he feuded once again with Murray – who went after the same girl – Viall came across as funny, mature, and good-natured.

For Viall, he hopes that one more stint on reality TV will result in him finding love once and for all.

“I’ve had an interesting journey throughout this process, it hasn’t worked out so far… Hopefully this time around, maybe things will end up on a more positive note.”

Meanwhile, Hollywood Life is reporting that Chris Harrison believes Nick Viall deserved to be picked as the next Bachelor.

Of course, many fans were surprised when Mike Fleiss announced ABC’s decision on Twitter, especially considering the other suitors that were in the running.

In fact, most fans expected producers to go with either Luke Pell or Chase McNary, both of whom had standout seasons vying for JoJo Fletcher’s final rose on The Bachelorette.

“It just got down to the final question: Who is the most deserving? Who is the most sincere?” Harrison explained during an appearance on Good Morning America. “Luke and Chase were good guys, but we all just kept coming back to Nick.”

At least now, fans can rest assured knowing that Viall will not be coming in second.

According to Australian Network News, Viall’s age is another issue many fans are concerned about.

While some in Bachelor Nation aren’t worried that Viall is 35-years-old, other fans expressed their disappointment in having such an older lead.

“I CANNOT BELEIVE NICK VIALL IS THE NEXT BACHELOR,” one fan wrote on Twitter. “He’s old enough to have been my babysitter but hey, I’m in.”

Apart from his old age, there are other things that make Viall a great choice for The Bachelor.

For starters, Bustle reports that Viall is great with children, as evidenced by his multitude of kid photos on Instagram.

Viall is also open about discussing sex and isn’t afraid to be transparent.

Not to mention his sense of humor, which is really starting to blossom the more time he spends on TV.

According to Heavy, Viall will also make a good match for any girl looking for someone who is very career goal oriented.

In fact, Viall is currently an account executive for Salesforce and previously worked for DeRoyal and U.S. Cellular.

With so many good things going for him, it is going to be interesting to see if Viall finally finds lasting love on The Bachelor.

Fans can watch Viall back in action when Season 21 of The Bachelor premieres in January on ABC.
