Britney Spears’ Extreme Response To G-Eazy Trying To Kiss Her Onstage: Can Britney Be Believed?
People reports that pop music legend Britney spears recently took to the airwaves to speak her mind about a suggestive — and possibly lecherous, if it is true — rumor that has been spreading about Spears and rising hip-hop star G-Eazy at Saturday’s MTV Video Music Awards, also known as the 2016 VMAs.
The VMAs saw Britney Spears take the stage to attempt a comeback by performing a set alongside G-Eazy. At one point, G-Eazy leaned toward Britney in what looked like an attempt to kiss her, but Britney ignored the gesture by shuffling out of the way.

Rumors immediately began to swirl that G-Eazy has a thing for Britney Spears — Us Weekly details just to how much of a degree fans lost it — and Spears herself went on 92.3 AMP Radio to tell hosts Shoboy and Nina what she thought about what had gone down onstage.
“No, I don’t think so,” said the 34-year-old megastar.
“He has a girlfriend!”
With her response, Britney may have showcased some of the schoolgirl naiveté that has become a major part of her public persona, or she may have been making an astute assertion about what happened. Either way, though, the physical activity that went on between Britney Spears and G-Eazy in front of a global audience did not really correspond with what Spears is saying now — that G-Eazy is spoken for and she herself would never touch him.
In fact, the onstage interplay between the two got pretty hot and heavy, With G-Eazy constantly grinding on Britney and Britney engaging happily, at one point even grabbing G-Eazy’s crotch.
Maybe truthfully and maybe to avoid drama with a jealous girlfriend, not to mention the public, Britney Spears told the radio hosts that the explicit touching had been totally unplanned and, basically, had been an unconscious mistake.
“In rehearsals, there wasn’t really anything planned for us to do,” Spears told the station. “So when we got there, I didn’t honestly really know what I was doing, and I kind of do something similar to that in my show in Vegas, so I went on automatic with what I do performing live, and I just did what I do to the dancers in Vegas.”
With that run-on sentence, Britney seemed to get a bit nervous and begin tripping over her words. Does that suggest there might be something going on Spears does not want to reveal? That’s for you to decide.
“We did rehearse. We had one rehearsal. We didn’t really touch each other. It was just like, ‘Hey, okay, you do your thing. I’ll do my thing.'”
That last bit in particular, which made Britney and G-Eazy seem like mutually unfriendly co-workers only teaming up because they have to, directly contradicts the very warm ways in which Spears has spoken about her co-star in the past.
For instance, during an interview on August 29 with New York radio station Z100, Britney Spears could not speak highly enough about G-Eazy and how great he was to work with.
“Oh, he’s so sweet!” Britney gushed. “He’s got a lot of swag, he’s got the whole cool thing going on.”
As for G-Eazy, he is no doubt more than happy to be associating with the likes of Britney Spears. As The Inquisitr previously reported, he, like almost anybody who grew up in the late 1990s and early 2000s, has idolized Britney for a long time. Especially as a man, he greatly appreciates and adores Spears both as a musical artist and a major cultural icon.
“Watching the VMAs when we were kids, she was one of the biggest entertainers in the world. And still is,” G-Eazy told Rolling Stone.
Is there really anything going on between Britney and G-Eazy? Was G-Eazy’s onstage lean really an attempt to snatch a kiss or not? The duo are keeping their lips sealed on the issue for now, at least.
