The Hot Teyana Taylor Fade Kanye West Music Video Performance Was Explained By Its Choreographer

Teyana Taylor has gotten a great deal of exposure since the new Kanye West music video Fade was revealed for the first time at the MTV Music Video Awards Sunday night. The 25-year-old Teyana also gets a lot of exposure in the video herself.

If you were one of the millions who watched the MTV VMA show, then you were probably just as blown away by the Kanye West and Teyana Taylor Fade music video as any of the live performances by stars such as Beyonce Knowles, Niki Minaj, and Brittney Spears.

And you were probably wondering just how they did that. That is if you weren’t thinking certain other things about Teyana.

So will Kanye West get credit now that “Teyana Taylor Fade” has become a new catchphrase? Or should that credit go to the woman who made both Kanye and Teyana look so good in the video of Fade?

The video’s choreographer, Jae Blaze, spoke about his inspiration for the dance sequences in Fade and what it was like to work with its two stars, Kanye West and Teyana Taylor, in an interview with Pitchfork.

Probably the most exciting, shocking and even erotic sequence from the video is at the end of Fade when Teyana Taylor transforms into a catwoman. No, not the evil villain from the Batman comics, but a real half-woman half-cat. Jae Blaze had this to say about it.

“I think the vision behind that was how amazing Teyana is, and how she’s been on the rise, and how she’s working, and you are now seeing her blossom into this fierce lioness, this fierce cat. She has worked her way into that, and she’s in a great position right now in her life. She has her family. She’s being held down by her amazing husband. She has a beautiful daughter. You know, the lioness always protects her baby. I think it really is about her coming into her fierceness. And that’s where she is in her life right now. She is blossoming.”

Blaze also explained what input Kanye West had in the making of Fade, explaining that his ideas were integral to Teyana Taylor’s performance. Jae Blaze explained that whenever Kanye had, “something specific on his mind, as a visionary. And we have to translate that onto Teyana’s body. Teyana’s a beast, so it really made our job easy.”

So it was Kanye who came up with the ideas and Teyana who found the way to translate them into a reality.

Teyana is engaged to NBA star Iman Shumpert with she has one child.

Meanwhile, Teyana Taylor told E News that she never diets. Never. This will be sure to infuriate women everywhere. And Teyana also said that she does not need to exercise because of all of the dancing that she does.

As the dancer explained, “Dancing is my workout. I just dance. I almost feel like dance is so underrated in the fitness world.”

She also proudly proclaims that she eats whatever she wants.

One person even told E, “Teyana Taylor has always just had a crazy dope body and the way she ‘works out’ is dancing in the studio. That’s her workout.”

She had also recently given birth before Teyana began filming Fade. And Teyana Taylor swears that she did not do anything special to take off the last of her baby weight and further told E of how surprised she was about how good she looked in the video saying, “When I saw it, I was just as in shock as everyone else, because I didn’t see the final product until he premiered it.”

And as her friend told E, “Eating healthy is not her thing. She is the kind of girl that eats donuts and candy for breakfast. She just doesn’t gain weight.”

So it seems that Teyana Taylor will be remembered for Fade and will owe a lot to both Kanye West and Jae Blaze.
