Drake Planning To Propose To Rihanna After VMAs Gush? [Report]

Is Drake planning to propose to Rihanna following his very public VMAs gush on August 28?

After months of speculation that he and Rihanna are officially dating again, the two appeared to confirm that they’re once again a couple after Drake had nothing but sweet words to say about his rumored girlfriend while presenting her with the prestigious Vanguard Award at the MTV Video Music Awards.

And it sounds like engagement could be the next step. A source recently claimed to Urban Islandz amid the dating rumors that Drake is ready to settle down with Rihanna and could potentially even propose to her before the year is over.

“[Drake] has a ring that he wanted to give to [Rihanna] for weeks now but I guess he is waiting until they both finish touring,” a source close to Drake told the site, which could mean the rapper will pop the question as soon as November after Rihanna’s “ANTI World Tour” wraps.

The source also went on to reveal that Drake is “very smitten” with Rihanna and after years of their dating life being on/off since they were first rumored to be dating back in 2009, he has no plans to let her go this time around.

“He’s madly in love with her and is not willing to let her slip away this time,” the insider said of Drake.

“When you see someone like Drizzy trying to turn in his players card then you know that Rihanna is a dime piece for sure,” Urban Islandz’s source continued amid the rumors suggesting they could be getting engaged. “No other chick could do that but Rihanna did that effortlessly and you can’t blame the homie just look at her. They will be a real power couple in the biz.”

Drake and Rihanna have still yet to officially confirm that they’re dating again, but Drake has definitely been hinting that he and Rihanna are a couple again in recent weeks as the dating rumors swirled.

Most recently, Drake took to Instagram to post a sweet snap of himself appearing to plant a kiss on Rihanna’s cheek after presenting her the prestigious MTV Video Music Award.

“This is a night for us all to be thankful for what you have done for us!” Drake captioned the seemingly pretty loved-up photo that appeared to be taken under Toronto’s CN Tower. “You have affected so many of our lives in the best way possible. Tonight we celebrate you!”

The Daily Mail also reported that Drake and Rihanna both attended a VMAs after-party together on August 28 and even left together in the early hours of the morning.

“The couple partied the night away together, and looked closer than ever; with both of them arriving in the same car,” the site reported, adding that the twosome were “very much inseparable” throughout the night amid the engagement reports.

Rihanna and Drake’s apparent post-VMAs date night came after Drake told the world that he had been “in love” with Rihanna since he was 22-years-old during the ceremony.

“We love the woman who hasn’t changed since day one,” Drake said of Rihanna during the sweet VMAs moment, according to Us Weekly. “She’s someone I’ve been in love with since I was 22 years old. She’s one of my best friends in the world. All my adult life, I’ve looked up to her even though she’s younger than me.”

Drake and Rihanna then appeared to confirm they’re dating, as the Mirror reported that the two then shared an on-stage kiss.
