Eva Longoria ‘Can’t Wait’ To Direct ‘Jane The Virgin’

Eva Longoria shared the news that she’ll be returning to the director’s chair for an upcoming episode of Jane the Virgin. Previously, Ms. Longoria has directed an episode each for the television series Devious Maids and Telenovela, so her newest directing endeavor will add to that list of credits.

Eva shared the news via Twitter and her fans responded with positive and inspiring words of encouragement, while the Telenovela actress turned director says she can’t wait to bring her own vision to the Jane the Virgin series.

Eva Longoria Joins Jane The Virgin For “Chapter Forty-Seven”

Joining the crew of Jane the Virgin is big news for Eva Longoria, who reveals her excitement in a picture of the script for the show’s season 3, episode 3 installment, entitled “Chapter Forty-Seven,” reports Hello magazine.

“Ohhhhh can’t wait! Jane the Virgin get ready!” Longoria captioned the Twitter post.

The posting immediately drew an outpouring of support for Eva’s latest directorial effort with many of her Twitter followers sharing that Eva’s accomplishments help to inspire them in their own lives. Stars of Jane the Virgin have also tweeted their support, suggesting that Longoria’s experience as the episode’s director will be a positive event for all involved.

“Guess who is checking into the Marbella Hotel this season?#JaneTheVirgin,” tweeted Jane the Virgin actor Jaime Camil.

Inspired by a Spanish telenovela, Jane the Virgin focuses on a young, devout woman who pledges to save herself for marriage, only to end up pregnant through an accidental, artificial insemination. As a result, Jane ends up the center of attention in a love triangle between fiancé Michael (Brett Dier), and the father of her child, Raphael (Justin Baldoni).

It’s too soon for an episode plot synopsis. “Chapter Forty-Seven” is set to air on October 31 on the CW network.

Eva Longoria Introduces Her Own “Wine To Work” Clothing Line

Us Weekly reveals that Eva Longoria has teamed up with The Limited to bring about her new Wine to Work clothing line, which she debuted earlier this month on Red Carpet Daily. Eva says the key to this collection is versatility and it includes everything from knit dresses to graphic tees and pants.

“I’ve always wanted to do a clothing line. … This is a dream come true for me,” says Ms. Longoria. “I like to call this collection ‘From Work to Wine’ because it’s so versatile and comprehensive you can take a lot of these pieces and wear them out at night or you can wear them [during the day].”

When asked about the wine reference, the Telenovela actress reveals that she has a passion for wine and wanted to incorporate that interest into her clothing line. As a result, each of Longoria’s graphic T-shirts boasts a wine related catchphrase, such as “#winegoals” and “I get better with wine.”

The line of clothing was created with comfort in mind, because, as Eva shares, she lives a very casual and relaxed lifestyle at home and wanted to incorporate that into her products. Ms. Longoria reveals that jeans and a blazer make up her go-to outfit, because they’re comfortable to wear to the meetings she has to sit through at work.

“I love a jean that acts like Spanx (control underwear) and sucks you in, and yet is comfortable enough that you can wear it all day,” says Ms. Longoria. “And also, I’m a dress person. You don’t have to think about it. I love a good dress that you can just zip up and go.”

She adds that baseball jackets and capes are big sellers from her fall collection.
