‘Once Upon A Time’ Season 6 Spoilers: Emma And Regina’s Relationship To Get Complicated Due To The Evil Queen

Once Upon A Time Season 4 spoilers are coming in regularly now that the premiere is getting closer to airing on ABC network. What can fans expect on the upcoming season of the fairy tale drama? Recently, Jennifer Morrison teased that Emma and Regina’s relationship will get complicated due to the Evil Queen.

Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) and Regina Mills (Lana Parrilla) haven’t always had the best relationship. Back in the first season, they were at war with one another. It was mostly due to Regina’s anger and insecurity over Henry’s (Jared Gilmore) birth mother suddenly arriving in Storybrooke. However, that was not Emma’s fault since Henry kept going to her and bringing her back. However, over the seasons, fans got to know Regina a little better. She not only softened up a bit, but viewers got to learn about her past, which explained her harshness.

There were even times when Emma and Regina seemed to get along. However, their relationship has always been complex. What will it be like in Once Upon A Time Season 6? Spoilers from International Business Times reveal that their friendship is not going to be smooth all the way through, which Jennifer Morrison explained at Comic-Con 2016.

“It’s going to be complicated for Emma to navigate because she wants to believe in Regina and knows that good can win, but she also knows she needs to protect everyone she loves. It’s going to be complicated like it always is.”

Of course, Morrison was speaking about Regina and the Evil Queen. As fans recall from last season, Regina tried to completely separate herself from her alter ego. However, something went wrong and the negative entity managed to survive. Fans have been wondering how it is possible without a heart, but that will be explained in Once Upon A Time Season 6. Spoilers also state that Regina will not get soft like some fans speculated. Executive producer Adam Horowitz explained that it is not cutting someone in half. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the executive producer explained it at Comic-Con.

“The separation of the dark and the light in Regina, I think it’s not as simple as just cutting someone in half and that’s something that we really want to explore. Can you really just take one part of yourself out? What does that do the rest of you?”

As for other Once Upon A Time Season 6 spoilers, the synopsis was published by Carter Matt.

“When Regina split herself in an attempt to eliminate her evil half, she unwittingly released the Evil Queen. Now the Evil Queen is back and ready to leave a trail of destruction in her wake. Meanwhile, after handing Storybrooke over to Mr. Hyde, Mr. Gold continues his quest to wake Belle from her self-induced sleeping curse, in hopes of reuniting with both her and their unborn child.”
