Kim Kardashian Doesn’t Want To Become ‘A Cat Lady’

It seems as if there’s always a new headline that materializes from the things that come out of Kim Kardashian mouth. This week it’s no different. In an interview with PEOPLE, Kardashian catches up with the magazine at an event for Midori in Santa Monica, California.

It was reported last week that Kim Kardashian welcomed a furry friend in a white Teacup Persian kitten she named Mercy after boyfriend’s Kanye West’s song. Now she tells PEOPLE that her new kitten has become quite an obsession and that she hopes it doesn’t becoming a problem for her image via social site Twitter. “I just hope I’m not turning into one of those cat ladies that’s Tweeting too many pictures of her pet!”

Kardashian has indeed taken her new role as mommy to her kitten seriously as far as Twitter is concerned. She often posts pictures of her new fur ball, and even posted a photo of her nephew Mason Disick holding Mercy. However, it’s all justified according to Kim. The household name has admitted that Marcy was a long time coming, saying:

I have always wanted a white Persian cat with light eyes. That was my thing. I’ve been always looking at kittens like that online.”

However, her dream kitten didn’t come until boyfriend Kanye West gifted the Persian to her, which was a complete surprise. In order to tribute West, she had enlisted in the help of her mother, Kris Jenner, to help her pick the name that would eventually become Mercy.
