Amazon Prime offers their subscribers a new list of movies each month to enjoy. Competing with contenders like Netflix isn’t easy, but with the list of blockbusters below, Amazon Prime is showing they offer high-quality movies that’s hard to find anywhere else.

September 1

1984 (1984)

George Orwell’s classic novel about government manipulation and population control hit the big-screen in 1984 and is coming to Amazon Prime.

Apollo 13 (1995)

This Ron Howard classic stars Tom Hanks and it is about the cosmic crisis that took place in 1970 that declared, “Houston, we have a problem.”

Borderland (2007)

This horror-suspense film is based on true events about three college students who head to a Mexican border town and end up prey to a cult looking for some human sacrifices.

Caddyshack (1980)

This classic crude-comedy starring Bill Murray and Chevy Chase is coming to Amazon Prime.

Good Will Hunting (1997)

The movie that audiences fell in love with: Good Will Hunting stars Robin Williams and Matt Damon (who co-wrote the film with Ben Affleck), and it tells the story of a genius who gets some much needed guidance from a psychologist.

Black Death (2011)

This blockbuster hit takes place in England in 1348, and it is about the first outbreak of the bubonic plague; a monk hears of rumors that a small village is bringing people back to life. Black Death hits Amazon Prime on September 15.

The Witch (2016)

Possibly the scariest movie of 2016, The Witch comes to Amazon Prime on September 17. Witchcraft, possession, and black magic terrorize a New England family in the 1630s.

Best Movies on Hulu Plus September 2016

Subscribers of Hulu are treated to original shows and movies each month. September offers Hulu viewers some classic hits and a powerful new drama that are sure to please audiences.

American Psycho (2000)

America’s favorite 1980s serial killer comes to Hulu.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (1988)

Two con-men, Steve Martin and Michael Caine, battle it out to see who can dupe an heiress first in this hilarious comedy.

Leaving Las Vegas (1995)

This powerful drama featuring Nicolas Cage and Elisabeth Shue is coming to Hulu. Cage plays an alcoholic determined to drink himself to death and Shue portrays a prostitute; the two form a bond and promise not to try to change each other.

Bridget Jones’ Diary (2001)

This romantic-comedy classic starring Renee Zellweger, Colin Firth, and Hugh Grant comes to Hulu on September 15. The sequel, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, is also released on this date.

Sicario (2015)

This dramatic thriller starring Emily Blunt and Josh Brolin hits Hulu on September 23. Sicario tells the story of an FBI agent who is recruited by a task force to aid their fight on the war against drugs.

Best Movies on Netflix September 2016

As the Inquisitr reported, Netflix has many originals returning and debuting during the month of September. But they recently released the list of movies coming to Netflix in September and there are some great ones arriving.

September 1

Footloose (1984)

Get your dancing shoes out; this ’80s classic starring John Lithgow and Kevin Bacon is back!

The Jaws Franchise

The original Jaws, and the lesser sequels, are finally coming to Netflix. The original thriller movie debuted in 1975 was a smash-hit. Directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Richard Dreyfus and Roy Scheider, Jaws is about a great white shark that terrorizes a small island community. The movie won three Oscars and is a favorite among audiences as is the chilling theme (heard in the trailer below).

Saving Private Ryan (1998)

Another Spielberg hit, Saving Private Ryan stars Matt Damon and Tom Hanks and is a powerful drama about WWII’s D-day invasion.

Crash (2004)

This moving drama starring Sandra Bullock and Don Cheadle is making its way to Netflix on September 6. IMDB provides the synopsis of one of the best movies on Netflix. “Los Angeles citizens with vastly separate lives collide in interweaving stories of race, loss and redemption.”

The Imitation Game (2014)

Starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley, The Imitation Game is about a mathematician who tries to crack the enigma code during World War II. This blockbuster debuts on September 28.
