‘Dr. Drew’ Show Cancelled: Did Hillary Clinton Have Famous Doctor’s Show Shut Down?
Eight days ago, David Drew Pinsky, best known as television’s Dr. Drew, made a surprising revelation that he was “gravely concerned” about the health of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. During an interview, Dr. Drew said that he was worried that Hillary may have brain damage, and the comments instantly sent shockwaves through the media.
In December 2012, Clinton came down with a stomach virus that caused her to fall and hit her head.
“When she hit her head, she had to wear these prism glasses when she came out,” said Dr. Drew. “That is brain damage, and it’s affecting her balance. Now clearly, it hasn’t affected her cognition, but tell us a little more about that. That’s profound.”
Dr. Drew said that he and a colleague were able to study Clinton’s medical records and “were gravely concerned not just about her health, but her health care.”
“What is going on with her health care? It’s bizarre,” Dr. Drew said, according to the Washington Free Beacon. “There ought to be some sort of standard for people that are going to lead the country or are going to making these important decisions. Again, Hillary may be fine with all of this.”
Last night, Headline News, which is a sister station of CNN, made the decision to end Dr. Drew’s show, Dr. Drew On Call, after five seasons on the network. The network said that the decision was made as they plan on going through a series of changes over the next couple of months, including finding room for Ashleigh Banfield’s new show and moving on from Nancy Grace, according to the Washington Times.

“Dr. Drew and his team have delivered more than five years of creative shows, and I want to thank them for their hard work and distinctive programming,” CNN executive vice president Ken Jautz said in a statement, the New York Post reported. “Their audience-driven shows, in particular, were innovative and memorable TV. And Dr. Drew has been an authoritative voice on addiction and on many other topical issues facing America today.”
The final new show will air on September 22.
“It has been a privilege working at HLN,” Dr. Drew said in a statement. “My executive producer, Burt Dubrow, and our outstanding staff and contributors were consistently exceptional. I am very excited to stay within the CNN Worldwide family as a contributor.”
Clinton’s health has been one of the areas that Donald Trump has attacked on multiple occasions as he believes Hillary “lacks the mental and physical stamina to take on ISIS, and all the many adversaries we face.”

Trump has released his medical records to the public, but Hillary has yet to do so. Clinton did have her doctor draw up a statement in July 2015 that said she is “excellent physical condition and fit to serve as President of the United States.”
It should be pointed out that many have called for Trump to release his tax returns, and he’s refused to do that as well so neither candidate has been completely open. It’s become a bit of a theme with this election and a big reason why there are so many Americans who don’t believe in either presidential candidate.
There are many people, including media members, who believe that Dr. Drew’s show being cancelled is a direct result of his comments about Hillary Clinton’s health. While it does seem to be an awfully big coincidence, it doesn’t sound as if Clinton, or her campaign, had anything to do with it.
