Demi Lovato, Luke Rockhold Dating: They Have Been ‘Cool For The Summer’

Demi Lovato and UFC fighter Luke Rockhold are dating. Sources have revealed that the new couple has been low-key dating all summer long.

Demi Lovato, 23, has clearly moved on from her split with Wilmer Valderrama. Instead, she has been feeling cool for the summer with the 31-year-old UFC middleweight champion. The two stars first crossed paths while working out at the Unbreakable gym in Los Angeles, according to TMZ Sports.

Also, according to the report, Lovato and Rockhold have been hitting it off ever since they met. They have been secretly sending messages to each other on social media over the past few months as their relationship has developed. Lovato and Rockhold clearly want to take their new relationship slow, but now their secret is out of the bag.

In case you didn’t know, Rockhold is a legend in the UFC world. He won the UFC Middleweight Championship in December 2015 at UFC 194. He won the belt by taking down undefeated champion Chris Weidman in a technical knockout, notes the Hollywood Gossip. However, Rockhold lost the UFC Middleweight title against Michael Bisping in June 2016.

Demi has previously been linked with another mixed martial arts fighter, Guilherme Vasconcelos, who sources claimed in mid-July she met him at the same gym, according to a report via Us Weekly.

However, one of the sources claimed that Lovato is “just having fun” while another added, “Demi’s still looking to meet new guys.”

How serious is it between Demi Lovato and Luke Rockhold? Remember that smiley face tattoo she showed off Instagram last month? Apparently, it wasn’t for her fans. It was a message to Rockhold. A week before Lovato showed off the tattoo, Rockhold posted a photo of his smiley face tattoo on his pinky.

Lovato and Valderrama announced their split on June 3 after six years of dating. The two released a joint statement stating that they went their separate ways.

“After almost six loving and wonderful years together, we have decided to end our relationship,” both Lovato and Valderrama wrote on their respective Instagram accounts. “This was an incredibly difficult decision for both of us, but we have realized more than anything that we are better as friends. We will always be supportive of one another.”

Since then, Lovato has been attending her regular AA meetings and going to the gym to help herself heal through the heartbreak. It looks like it’s been working because Lovato has been showing off a sexy new look complete with hair extensions. Lovato has been taking time out from her “Future Now Tour” with friend Nick Jonas to soak up the sun, reports ET Online.

The “Stone Cold” singer recently took to Snapchat to share a photo of herself rocking a neon bikini on a yacht.

She also shared a “belfie” (aka butt selfie) with her pals, writing, “Lauren Kelsey and my a**.”

In the new photos, Lovato is seen wearing a neon bikini with string cutouts and a colorful pattern.

Lovato recently sat down for an interview with her tour mate, Jonas, for an exclusive interview with the Calgary Herald. The singers were asked on how easy it was to shed their Disney images. Lovato said that she experienced an easier time than Jonas when she entered rehab in 2011.

“For me, the transition was a little bit easier because I didn’t have to do anything to break out of the Disney mould. It’s a lot easier when you just go to rehab. So, I kind of grew up really fast in the public eye in that way and so when it was time to release my music, I think people looked at me differently. I wanted to prove to people that I wasn’t just a stereotypical Hollywood starlet that goes to rehab and falls back into the trap of the things that got her there. I wanted to make sure that the music that I made was great and that I was passionate about the music that I put out and I sang my heart out.”
