Taylor Swift Won’t Bring Tom Hiddleston To The MTV VMAs After Big Fight, Dines With Todrick Hall
Taylor Swift isn’t going to risk getting humiliated by Kanye West in front of Tom Hiddleston at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.
The “Shake It Off” singer is having a hard time shaking off her feud with Kanye and his wife, Kim Kardashian, so she’s going to avoid a confrontation with Kimye by skipping the VMAs. This means Hiddleswift fans won’t get to see Taylor Swift, Tom Hiddleston, and Taylor’s girl squad dancing along to Britney Spears’ songs in the audience, and they’ll have to continue patiently waiting for proof that the the couple is together after their first major argument.

According to TMZ, Kanye West is going to be given four minutes to do whatever he wants at Sunday night’s VMAs. Cosmopolitan speculates that Taylor is skipping the show because her arch nemesis will likely perform “Famous,” the song that caused all the drama between himself and Swift.
Here’s a quick refresher on what went down, via Rolling Stone: Kanye penned a lyric about having sex with Taylor Swift and called her to make sure she was cool with it, Taylor’s rep claimed that she warned him against releasing the song, and Kim Kardashian leaked a recording of Taylor and Kanye’s phone conversation proving that Taylor cleared the “sex” lyric. However, Taylor did not give Kanye permission to call her a “b***h” and claim that he made her famous.
Kanye West believes that he made Taylor Swift famous at the 2009 MTV VMAs when he interrupted her Best Female Video award acceptance speech by grabbing the microphone from her and ranting that Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time.
As Metro points out, West and Swift seemed to bury the hatchet at last year’s VMAs when Swift presented the “Heartless” singer with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. He thanked Swift “for being so gracious,” and he suggested that he wouldn’t have grabbed the mic from her if he had had a daughter at the time of the incident. Clearly, he has changed his tune when it comes to humiliating Taylor, but People reports that Kanye has nothing to do with Taylor’s decision to skip the 2016 MTV VMAs.
“Taylor was never scheduled to attend the VMAs,” an insider revealed.
Swift is not up for any awards this year, so this may have something to do with her absence. As Entertainment Tonight reports, Calvin Harris will likely be at the show in hopes of taking home a Moonman for the song Taylor penned for him, “This Is What You Came For,” so it’s also possible that Taylor wants to avoid an awkward encounter with her ex.
Unfortunately for Taylor Swift, it looks like Tom Hiddleswift won’t be around to comfort her if any of her enemies take a swipe at her during he show. As Us Weekly reports, their busy schedules are making it so difficult for the couple to spend time together that they’ve caused the couple to have their first big fight.

“There was so much going on so it was hard making their schedules work, and they were upset they couldn’t see each other,” an insider revealed.
Taylor and Tom have reportedly worked things out since their argument earlier this month, but they haven’t been seen together for weeks. Tom Hiddleston is currently busy filming Thor: Ragnarok in Australia, and Taylor Swift is in NYC, which just so happens to be where the 2016 MTV VMAs are taking place. As The Inquisitr previously reported, Hiddleswift fans may have to wait until the Emmy Awards on September 18 to see Taylor and Tom walking their first red carpet together.
According to Entertainment Tonight, Taylor has found someone to keep her company while she and Tom are apart. She and YouTube star Todrick Hall were spotted getting dinner together on Wednesday night. OK! Magazine reports that Todrick is gay, so Tom has nothing to worry about.
