Niall Horan of One Direction Had Fun In Vegas Supporting Fellow Irishman Conor McGregor In The UFC Fight
Niall Horan is really a huge Conor McGregor fan and thus a UFC fan. The One Direction singer enjoyed his VIP status to the maximum at the fights in Las Vegas last weekend. Naill was more excited than a kid on Christmas morning, according to his tweets before the arena doors opened. He could hardly wait. In one video clip, Horan bragged exuberantly that he was with 10,000 Irish at the UFC 202 according to Hall Of Fame Magazine.
Niall Horan placed a bet on Conor McGregor to win in the third round with extreme confidence according to TMZ. The One Direction heartthrob’s Irish pride was extremely obvious, as was his admiration for the featherweight powerhouse of a fighter. For those shocked that Horan would condone such bloody violence, it is a matter of national pride and patriotism for Niall to support McGregor, who hails from Dublin.

The Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz fight was more complex than Niall had bet on, though, going well past the three-round mark and in fact ending in the fifth, after a brutal 25 minutes. The match was marked by a huge change in McGregor’s usual fighting styles and strategies according to The Bloody Elbow, an aptly named publication which gives a blow by blow account of fights.
Niall Horan is hardly alone in his appreciation of McGregor, who is by far the most popular fighter in the business right now according to Forbes. Conor is a hero and a legend, especially to his fellow Irishmen. Conor is also very well-liked in the U.S.
The One Direction superstar is making the most of his free time, traveling the world, seeing the sights, playing golf and attending prize fights. By next year, this time, Horan will be back to singing with Harry Styles, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson, so Niall is having fun while he has the time.
Conor McGregor emerged victorious after five rounds and celebrated with Horan later that evening, after the rather bloody fight. Conor had a pretty bad cut over his right eye according to The Guardian, but that didn’t stop the handsome Dublin fighter from a hearty celebration. To be sure McGregor was more than ready for a pint, and perhaps it is as good a remedy as any for facial pain. Also easing the pain was the $3 million plus in winnings from the match.
Niall Horan, Conor McGregor and a huge band of zealous drinking buddies headed out for a bit of evening “Intrigue.” The Intrigue Nightclub in Wynn Las Vegas might as well have been an Irish pub, as the gang of Irish McGregor fans and pals flooded the establishment ready to party hard according to Review-Journal. Horan settled into a table near the stage and enjoyed the friendly ambiance. While Niall Horan may not have been the most productive of the One Direction guys over the break, he has almost certainly had the most fun. Horan has been traveling a lot and playing a tremendous amount of golf.
Harry Styles has worked the entire time, making the movie Dunkirk and working on his first solo album. Styles started working on his music style the moment a break was called. He was looking for the new sound. Then Harry committed to making a movie and recording three albums. Other than that Styles has been rather reclusive, avoiding awards ceremonies and high fashion events. As a result, photos of the heartthrob have been in short supply.Niall Horan has been having a blast while Harry Styles worked on widening the direction of his career, but that must be what Niall missed most about being on tour. It would be hard to watch everyone around partying and acting like tourists all the time while the boys in the band, no matter how exotic their location, had to just keep playing music and then moving on. Niall is making up for lost time on the fun of life, and hanging out with Conor McGregor is obviously thrilling for him.
Louis has been busy being a dad, and Liam Payne has finally signed an album contract. Louis has also been the one who stayed in contact with all the others most doggedly. He is not letting anyone feel slighted.
Niall Horan will have to say bye to Conor McGregor, the arena, and the golf course, and return to One Direction with Harry Styles, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson in 2017.
