‘Game Of Thrones’ Spoilers: What We Know About Season 7 So Far
Game of Thrones Season 7 might still be nearly a year away, but news and spoilers have been rolling in about what viewers can expect on the show next season and fans are freaking out over the latest updates.
According to Decider, Game of Thrones Season 7 will begin airing sometime in the summer of 2017. This is much later than usual, as the show has premiered in April in past seasons. Unfortunately, the wait isn’t the only bad news about Season 7. HBO has confirmed that the new season will only consist of seven episodes instead of the usual ten. This is because the story is winding down, and there will be fewer filler storylines to draw each episode out.
Meanwhile, actress Maisie Williams, who plays fan favorite character Arya Stark, recently revealed on Twitter that she’s finished reading all the Season 7 episodes and that “sh** gets real,” warning fans to “start preparing” themselves for the craziness now, although she teases that “nothing will prepare” fans for what’s in store in the coming seven episodes.
Game of Thrones fans also know that Cersei will be a huge part of Season 7. Now that she’s lost all of her children and blown up half of the people in King’s Landing, there is really nothing stopping her from going full on Mad Queen. Well, nothing except Daenerys Targaryen.Viewers are already fully expecting a huge showdown between the Mad Queen and the Dragon Queen in Season 7. When last fans saw Dany she was heading for Westeros with her huge fleet of ships, and an army that includes the warriors of the Dothraki and the Unsullied. Daenerys also has three dragons and Tyrion Lannister by her side. Will anything be able to stop her from ruling the seven kingdoms?
Game of Thrones’ other huge character, Jon Snow, will also likely have a big season. Now that fans know that Jon isn’t Ned Stark’s son, but the son of his sister Lyanna and Rhaegar Targaryen, it seems that Jon should be the next to find out. When Jon eventually hears about his true parentage anything could happen. Although, fans are hoping that he’ll join forces with his aunt, Daenerys, as well as Tyrion Lannister, who is rumored to be another member of the Targaryen family, and rule Westeros with them.
Of course, Sansa may have something to say about Jon’s big news. Although Jon is still technically a Stark, he’s not Ned Stark’s son. This means that Sansa is the oldest living child of Ned, and she may want to rule the North. Fans are speculating about Sansa and Littlefinger’s possible marriage, which could lead to a bit of a family feud/power struggle between her and Jon.Meanwhile, Game of Thrones spoilers for Season 7 have confirmed that many new characters are on the way. While the official names of these characters have yet to be released, casting calls went out for actors to fill the roles of a general, a priest, a warrior, a gate guard, a city guard, a merchant, a lovely lady, a young Lord, and a lieutenant. The casting calls have fans talking about the possible major presence of armies in Season 7, and it could be related to any character. Dany already has a huge army of course, but Cersei, who is now the queen, will need an army to fight for her, and Jon Snow’s men in the North will need to add troops if they stand a chance of defending themselves against any outside threats.
While there is so much fans still don’t know about Game of Thrones Season 7, it seems that with each new passing day more information is becoming available. Are you excited for the new season?
