Teresa Giudice Wants A Casting Change On ‘RHONJ’: Will Dina Manzo Replace Jacqueline Laurita For Season 8?

Teresa Giudice is reportedly unhappy with the current cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey and is hoping to see a big change before Season 8.

Following a screaming match between Teresa Giudice and her longtime co-star, Jacqueline Laurita, during the August 14 episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, a source claims Giudice will do anything to convince producers to give Laurita the boot — even if it means bringing an ex-cast member back to the Bravo series.

“[Teresa Giudice] will do anything to get Jacqueline to quit or be forced off the show,” an insider told Life & Style magazine on August 25.

Teresa Giudice and Jacqueline Laurita “have had an epic falling out,” the source continued.

During the first few seasons of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa Giudice and Jacqueline Laurita were quite close but after a falling out years ago, Laurita ended their friendship and the women’s relationship has been strained ever since. Although they’ve attempted on multiple occasions to get their friendship back on track, they have been unable to do so. As the seventh season of the show continues to play out on Bravo, a future friendship seems more and more unlikely.

While Teresa Giudice has starred on the series in a full-time role since its first season, Laurita was not featured in a full-time role during Season 6. Prior to the start of production, rumors swirled claiming Laurita may have been fired from the series but after the ratings on the show saw a dip in her absence, producers opted to bring her back on in a guest starring role for the latter half of Season 6. Then, ahead of Season 7, she returned to her full-time position.

During Laurita’s absence, Dina Manzo, who starred on the series’ first two seasons, rejoined The Real Housewives of New Jersey in a full-time role for Season 6. However, after Laurita returned, she left her role on the show and has not been featured on Season 7.

“Dina and Jacqueline don’t get along, and that is why Dina wasn’t involved in the current season,” the Life & Style report explained.

As for what Manzo would think of a possible return during Season 8, the Life & Style report revealed she is now living in Los Angeles but could potentially be lured back to Bravo if the payday was worth it.

“She’ll say she has no desire to return to the series, but she needs the paycheck,” the source explained.

Following the most recent episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa Giudice weighed in on her emotional conversation with Laurita.

“When Jacqueline and I were alone and I began to tell her how I felt about the way she had treated me in the past, because I wanted to be honest with her, I felt like she started attacking me rather than really listening to what I was saying to her,” Teresa Giudice wrote to her readers.

“I really hope that one day Jacqueline and I can rebuild our friendship, but right now, I’m not so sure,” Teresa Giudice admitted. “I’m disappointed in the way she acted toward me that night. I had the best of intentions going there. But she showed me that she hasn’t changed at all.”
