Why Jennifer Lopez Really Dumped Casper Smart, ‘She Was Enraged!’

Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart have broken up, and despite sources originally claiming their split with amicable, new reports are alleging that it was Jennifer who ended things after becoming “enraged” with the dancer.

According to a new report, Jennifer became “enraged” at her on/off boyfriend of five years and supposedly ended things unceremoniously on the spot after what’s alleged to have been a pretty huge argument.

That’s according to TMZ, who alleged that Lopez and Smart’s recent break up happened after Jennifer was left then that thrilled with Smart after he ditched her for a boys weekend and attended UFC 202.

The site claimed that Lopez had previously told Casper, who she began dating back on 2011, that she wanted him to join her and attend Ron Perelman’s Hamptons fundraiser in New York on August 21, though Smart was not by her side and was instead spotted at the fighting event in Las Vegas.

TMZ claimed that Casper instead told Lopez that he would be heading to the Ultimate Fighting Championship event in Las Vegas, where he was spotted hanging out with some famous faces, including Kanye West.

That’s allegedly when an “enraged” Lopez told Casper that she was breaking up with him.

“[Jennifer] was enraged and ended the relationship,” a source told TMZ of Lopez and Smart’s sudden breakup. “No discussion — simply, we’re done.”

And while Jennifer’s fans seemed pretty surprised by the seemingly sudden split, it sounds like Casper was also left blindsided by Lopez’s decision to break up after almost five years together.

“[Casper] had no idea being a no-show Saturday would end things,” the source admitted to the site.

However, while Jennifer and Casper are officially broken up for now, an insider close to the now former couple also dished to the site that Lopez and the dancer have split a number of times before and could more than likely be back together again sooner rather than later.

Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart first announced that they had broken up in June, 2014, after which E! News claimed that the split was caused because Lopez didn’t believe that she could trust Smart and his friendship group.

“Jennifer did not trust him,” a source told E! News of Lopez and Smart’s 2014 breakup two years ago.

“The relationship had not been right for a while. Smart was never going to be the love of her life, but he was fun and a nice guy to be around,” the insider continued. “It stopped being fun once his friendships with other people started to come to light.”

Lopez has not yet commented on her most recent breakup with Casper, though recent reports suggesting that Jennifer became “enraged” with Smart goes against People‘s report on the couple’s split, which claimed there was no drama behind Lopez and Smart’s decision to part ways.

People claimed this week that Jennifer and Casper split up “a few weeks ago,” suggesting that Smart going to Las Vegas on August 21 didn’t play a part in their breakup.

“It wasn’t anything dramatic and they were on good terms — it just came to a natural end,” the site’s insider continued of Jennifer and Casper’s most recent breakup. “They will remain friends and they see each other, but they are not together. It was very amiable.”

Lopez and Smart are both yet to officially comment on the split, though that hasn’t stopped the former couple’s fans from taking to social media to throw in their two cents on the breakup.

“Oh no Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart are no longer a couple. They have broken up. Sad. They were such a cute match!” Twitter user @BlossomJasmin tweeted out about the split, while @fentynarcotics wrote on the social media site this week, “Jennifer and Casper were so cute I’m sad” amid the breakup reports.
