Ramona Singer On ‘RHONY’ Friendships: She Grew Closer To Bethenny And Carole

Ramona Singer is happy that another season of The Real Housewives of New York is done. This particular season has been very troublesome for the ladies, as they have all been critical of Luann de Lesseps’ new relationship with Thomas D’Agostino.

Sonja Morgan was particularly upset about Luann dating Thomas because she had continued a relationship with him for years. Ramona herself had been dating him, but they had only gone out for dinner a few times. But she was still surprised that Luann would pursue him, considering he had already expressed an interest in two other Real Housewives of New York stars.

According to a new Bravo report, Ramona Singer is now revealing that the last two episodes were very emotional for the girls. While Luann was clearly the one who was heartbroken about the cheating story and the pictures of Thomas kissing another woman for hours, it sounds like Ramona was affected by the drama as well. All of the ladies wanted the best for Luann, but it was clear that she didn’t necessarily want the best for herself.

“The last two episodes were very emotional on everyone. I think in my own way I forgot what a hard weekend it was in Miami. Watching it unfold again brings back so many things. Seeing everything after living it and being able to actually think and listen gives me lots of time to reflect. I truly, truly love these women. They may not always think so, but I do,” Ramona Singer reveals on her blog for Bravo, sharing her final thoughts for The Real Housewives of New York.

Interestingly enough, Ramona started the season being great friends with Sonja Morgan and Luann. Sonja and Luann were even living together for a while before de Lesseps decided to move in with Thomas. But Ramona was shocked to learn that he had dated both her and Morgan before he started dating — and later getting engaged to — de Lesseps. But now, she’s not as close to Luann and Sonja as she once was. In fact, she has two new girlfriends.

“Each and every one of them are completely special to me. I have a different bond and relationship with all of them. Some are old friends and some are new friends. After eight seasons there is a lot of history. I never knew I could grow so close to Bethenny and Carole. Truthfully we all are different, but that’s what makes for more interesting friendships. I love that Bethenny, through her tough-as-nails personality, really has a huge heart. She feels, she hurts and she cares. Carole is just so easy to be with and kind-hearted and so sweet. I am so happy to have become close to both of them,” Ramona Singer reveals on her blog for The Real Housewives of New York, according to Bravo.

Even though Singer has moved on from her estranged husband’s cheating ways, she was shocked that Luann had to go through her own cheating scandal this season. But unlike Ramona, de Lesseps was quick to forgive and forget. According to ET Online, Ramona Singer recently opened up about her co-star’s decision to forgive Thomas for his cheating. Within a few days, she was very defensive of her relationship with him, and her co-stars couldn’t understand why she would stay with him. If Singer was in that position, she would not be so forgiving of her husband. In fact, his cheating resulted in a divorce.
