WWE News: The Miz Shoots On Daniel Bryan On ‘Talking Smack,’ Is Bryan Returning?
There are moments in WWE superstars’ careers that define them. Some for better or worse, but when a special moment takes place, nobody forgets. It’s often referred to as that one moment a WWE star makes that leap to the next level. Stone Cold Steve Austin is famous for his “Austin 3:16 promo,” which happened after he won the King of the Ring tournament in the late-90s. The Stone Cold character was born, and he was an instant legend.
The same thing happened to CM Punk and Daniel Bryan within the last five years. Punk cut the pipebomb promo in Vegas, and his career was never the same. Punk was a household name after an illustrious Independent career followed by a underwhelming WWE career. The Chicago-native was never respected for what his skills entailed. In a documentary about Punk, Vince McMahon asked Punk if he could turn heel.
Instead of remaining in the upper-mid card for the rest of his WWE career, one promo was able to launch a WWE legend and one that is infamous for using the microphone. Daniel Bryan’s jump-start to WWE stardom wasn’t a promo, but rather a fan movement that led to a main event spot and WrestleMania main event that will last a lifetime. WrestleMania 30 will be forever known as the show the Undertaker lost and Bryan achieved a dream.
The next instance of changing a career took place on Talking Smack when the Miz and Maryse were guests with Daniel Bryan and Renee Young. When Bryan said he thought Miz wrestled like a coward, the Miz went ballistic and cut the promo of his career. Mick Foley and Maryse responded to the Miz’s comments on the future WWE Hall of Famer.
HEROES STAND UP FOR WHAT THEY BELIEVE IN. COWARDS WALK AWAY https://t.co/yocRbSSarH

The Miz’s words sounded like he wanted to say them for a long time. At one point, Miz took a shot at Bryan and his wrestling style, right after the American Dragon said he wrestled like a coward. Above all of his comments, there’s one statement that stuck with this writer since he cut that amazing promo on Tuesday evening. Miz said, in so many words, that there’s a reason why he wrestles the way he does.
In 10 years, the Miz said he’s never been injured wrestling. That’s a fact. The reason for that is he doesn’t do highly dangerous moves and rarely puts his health on the line. Daniel Bryan is no longer allowed to wrestle in the WWE because doctors don’t want him to suffer another injury. Bryan already suffered numerous concussions and they would like to prevent that from happening again.
With that promo, the Miz easily put himself in a better position in the eyes of WWE management. How could they not see him differently? Since Miz’s WWE championship reign, he hasn’t cut great promos. The last five years included a face turn that didn’t work and a stint with Ric Flair when he learned the Figure-4.
In a recent article by the Inquisitr, Vince McMahon was on pursuit to sign former-WWE employees, but that may not be necessary anymore. Smackdown Live is on the verge of being the best wrestling show on television and with the Miz’s promo that he cut, they have another main event star. John Cena’s absence will leave a hole. That’s an absolute. However, the Miz could step in that role and do very well.
