‘Bachelor In Paradise’ Villain Chad Johnson Is Coming Back To Reality TV, How ‘Hurricane Chad’ Landed A New Gig

Just when you thought Chad Johnson’s time in the spotlight was over, the former Bachelor in Paradise villain is making a return to reality TV.

Pop Sugar is reporting that Johnson landed a spot on Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell’s upcoming series, Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After?.

Despite his bad boy image, Johnson has built up quite the following in Bachelor Nation.

After his time with JoJo Fletcher on The Bachelorette, Johnson was given the chance to find love again on Bachelor in Paradise.

Naturally, things didn’t exactly work out for Johnson, though he managed to add to his steadily growing fan base.

As fans will recall, Johnson was booted from the series after the first episode.

Johnson had a little too much to drink and picked a fight with Lace in the hot tub.

The following morning, host Chris Harrison asked Johnson to leave the set, which didn’t exactly go over well.

Even though Johnson played the villain once again, his popularity with fans has not declined.

In order to capitalize on Johnson’s popularity, he will reportedly appear on at least one installment of Ben and Lauren.

It isn’t clear why Johnson will make an appearance on the show, though fans can certainly expect him to return to his usual antics.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Happily Ever After? will follow Higgins’ romance with Bushnell following their time together on The Bachelor.

The series will chronicle the couple while they make wedding plans and start a new life together in Colorado. It will also feature plenty of appearances from former Bachelor and Bachelorette fan favorites.

Apparently, this includes Chad Johnson, though Higgins and Bushnell already admitted that they have yet to watch Fletcher’s run on The Bachelorette.

However, Johnson’s rise to fame is one reason why Bushnell wants to get caught up on the show.

“Now I definitely want to get caught up — I keep hearing so much about this Chad guy,” she shared about The Bachelorette.

Happily Ever After? is the fourth spin-off from ABC’s hit franchise.

Other spin-offs include Bachelor Pad, Bachelor in Paradise, and The Bachelorette. The network has also produced two after shows: Bachelor Live and After Paradise.

After Paradise is currently in its second season, with Sean Lowe and Michelle Collins taking over the hosting duties from Harrison.

While fans wait to see Johnson make another reality TV appearance, he has started dishing out advice on social media about celebrity couples.

During his latest Instagram video post, the former Bachelorette suitor talked about this year’s hottest couples, including Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston, and Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth.

Of course, not all of Johnson’s activity on social media has been well received.

In fact, Greatist is reporting Johnson created quite the stir after telling his lady fans to “stop doing” CrossFit because “powerlifter bodies are not sexy.”

Although Johnson has since deleted the post, plenty of women responded by posting pictures of their sexy bodies along with the tag, #tryagainchad.

“I know I’m late to the party but #TryAgainChad muscles are #sexyaf and I could prob #squat you so #gtfo,” one user wrote on Twitter.

“#TryAgainChad good thing I don’t life just to be sexy for you,” another Twitter fan wrote. “Thank you.”

Johnson has yet to respond to the CrossFit comments. Given his love for conflict, it’s probably only a matter of time before he reacts.

Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After? is scheduled to premiere Oct. 11 on Freeform. Next entertainment and Warner Horizon Television are producing the series, with Mike Fleiss, Jason Ehrlich, and Martin Hilton serving as executive producers.
