Josh Gordon: 5 Teams Who Should Try To Acquire Cleveland Browns WR
Josh Gordon is back in the NFL after his latest off-the-field incident involving marijuana. He has made quite a few mistakes throughout his young career, but he is hoping to move past those issues and focus on playing the game that he loves.
Looking ahead at the 2016 NFL season, the Cleveland Browns are hoping that Gordon can make their offense relevant again. He has the ability to burn defenders deep and has a history with Robert Griffin III from their days at Baylor. One question that still must be answered is whether the Browns would consider trading Gordon if the right offer came along.
According to a report from Adam Schefter of ESPN, teams are calling the Browns and asking about potential Gordon trades.

Cleveland hasn’t been looking to deal him to this point, but that could change. Every team has a price on certain players, especially players who have a history of off-the-field incidents. If the Browns pass on a trade now and see Gordon get suspended again later this year, they will regret not making a move.
All of that being said, which five teams should make an aggressive move to try and acquire Gordon from the Browns ahead of the 2016 NFL trade deadline?
Indianapolis Colts
Ryan Grigson and the Indianapolis Colts should be one of the first teams on the phone with the Browns. Pro Football Rumors reported that the Colts were looking to bring another receiver in. Gordon would be a huge addition and would give Andrew Luck one of the most dangerous targets that he has ever had.
Los Angeles Rams
Jared Goff is the quarterback of the future for the Rams, and they need to do everything in their power to bring in lethal weapons for him to use. As of right now, the Rams simply don’t have a high-profile aerial attack. Adding Gordon to the mix would make them a team to watch and would give Goff the go-to receiver that he is in need of finding.
Carolina Panthers
Can you imagine Cam Newton having both Kelvin Benjamin and Gordon to throw to? After seeing the massive success that the Panthers had last season, adding Gordon to the offense would make them nearly impossible to stop. Carolina is hoping to take the next step this season and win a Super Bowl, and Gordon could certainly help those chances.
Philadelphia Eagles
Philadelphia could be one of the top landing spots for Gordon as well should the Browns deal him. It has been awhile since the Eagles had a true go-to receiver. Whether Sam Bradford or Carson Wentz is starting, the Eagles have to bring in some help at the wide receiver position.
New England Patriots
If there is one place that Gordon would have the best chance to turn his career around, it would be New England. Bill Belichick has worked with troubled players in the past and should try to do so again with Gordon. Tom Brady is still one of the best quarterback’s in the game, and adding Gordon to the offense would make life much easier on him.
Expect to hear more rumors about a potential Gordon trade in the coming weeks as the regular season draws closer and gets underway. He may not end up being moved, although the Browns are certainly listening to the offers that are being presented to them. Gordon would be a huge pickup for all of these five teams to say the very least.
