Tom Hanks’ ‘Inferno’ Will Be Released In India Two Weeks Before The U.S., And Here’s Why
Tom Hanks’ Inferno will enter the Indian market two weeks before its debut in the United States, according to the Hindustan Times. This is the third adaptation of Dan Brown’s Da Vinci Code series about Robert Langdon, and this time, Indians get the chance to see the film before anybody else.

Tom Hanks’ Inferno has been scheduled for an October 28 debut in the United States, two weeks after its premiere in India on October 14. And this is not the first time Indians are the first ones who see a highly-anticipated film, since The Jungle Book was released in India a week before its U.S. debut earlier this year.
India is privileged to have Hollywood films premiere in the country before other parts of the world, and not just because Indians want to be the first ones to hear Bill Murray’s voice in The Jungle Book or enjoy Tom Hanks’ performance in Inferno. It’s because the Indian market has been expanding at a rapid rate, which is why major Hollywood studios don’t want to let it go unnoticed. The result: The Jungle Book became the highest-grossing Hollywood film of all time in India. But could Tom Hanks’ Inferno beat The Jungle Book’s record?

In the latest Inferno trailer, Tom Hanks’ Robert Langdon is seen in Italy preventing a highly dangerous virus from destroying the world by solving clues related to Dante’s Inferno, according to Collider.
When Sony first announced Inferno, the third adaptation of Dan Brown’s Da Vinci Code series, many were wondering why Hollywood keeps producing these films. But according to the box office totals of the two previous Dan Brown’s adaptations, Tom Hanks continues to save the world not without a reason.

The Da Vinci Code grossed $758 million worldwide, while the sequel, Angels and Demons, raked in $485 million. Given this trend, is there a chance that Tom Hanks’ Inferno will gross even less than Angels and Demons?
There is no telling if people still have the enthusiasm to watch Tom Hanks solve clues and yet again save the world from extinction. Apart from Hanks, the film also stars Felicity Jones, Omar Sy, Irrfan Khan, Ben Foster, and Sidse Babett Knudsen.

In other news, Tom Hanks feels that he has way too many homes, according to the New York Post. And that’s why the 60-year-old actor decided to sell two of his Los Angeles houses for a total sum of $18 million.
So the most diehard fans of Tom Hanks can now buy not just one home owned by their favorite actor and his wife, Rita Wilson, but two houses. The Oscar-winning actor and his wife have recently listed the two houses located in Pacific Palisades, California, for a total sum of $18 million.
One of Tom Hanks’ properties was built in the Spanish Revival style, while the other features the traditional English design. But it doesn’t mean that sellers will have to buy two houses at the same time, as the actor also doesn’t rule out selling the houses separately. Tom Hanks and Wilson are asking $8.75 million for the first house and $9.25 million for the second house. One of the houses was long rumored to be owned by former Friends star Matt LeBlanc, but recent reports indicate that Hanks and Wilson are the ones who own the house.
Tom Hanks and Wilson, who recently produced My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, bought the two houses back in 2003 and 2007 for a total sum of $13.1 million, which means they are about to make a nice profit from selling the homes.
