Selena Gomez And Justin Bieber: How The Jelena Wars Masquerade True Love As Hate

Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, and their ongoing Jelena Wars only demonstrate the couple’s unending love for each other. It wasn’t such a long time ago that the two have announced to the world: RIP Jelena. However, last week proved that Jelena or the Selena and Justin combo is very much alive on planet earth.

Somehow, the Jelena Wars last week acted like Count Dracula — blood, sweat and tears flowed from accusations that got thrown back and forth — resurrecting what News.com.au calls the greatest love story of our time. As the immortal count always said, “love never dies.”

Of course, there was Hiddleswift or the Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston combo which grabbed the world’s attention for a few weeks starting on July 14 before being shot down by the Kimye combo.

Yes, Kim Kardashian West and her infamous rapping hubby stole the fire from heaven with their classic #KimExposedTaylorSwiftParty, only to be shut down in return by Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s CFNM (Clothed Female, Naked Male) over Italian waters.

But guess what? The world is back to square one — waiting for what’s next between Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez — with whom the world has been on and off with since 2010. In other words, love teams come and go and so do scandals, but Jelena never dies. It’s the unrequited, unconsummated love between Marilyn Monroe and James Dean reborn in a different time.

And so from now on, if anybody tells you that Jelena is dead, never, ever believe that person — not even if the RIP is coming from the mouth of Selena Gomez or Justin Bieber. They are both blinded by a nasty case of love and hate, which often consume them totally in private but sometimes in public — as the ugly Jelena Wars will show.

Now it’s clear why Selena Gomez talks like she has a lump in her throat when she says that she is so over with her ex, or when she crumpled the “Please Marry Justin” sign from a die-hard Jelena fan, according to MTV. She’s the classic symbol of a woman who, sitting on her psychiatrist’s couch, keeps on saying she’s not in love anymore, when in fact, the exact opposite is true.

Now we also know why after Justin Bieber breaks down and cries on the concert stage, the next thing you know, Selena Gomez does that, too. With this epiphany, it’s now easy to decipher just why Selena broke down on social media, according to The Hollywood Gossip, after an otherwise highly successful Revival concert in Jakarta, Indonesia, on July 23, just a day after her 24th birthday.

That feeling of inauthenticity that she blurted out which caught everyone by surprise was actually Selena Gomez’s indirect way of saying that she has been unfaithful to herself by constantly denying her true feelings for Justin Bieber. If you have arrived at this conclusion after religiously following the two in a Jelena-like fashion, you are not alone.

Clever News echoes the same conclusion, that the Jelena Wars are nothing but Selena Gomez begging Justin Bieber for another chance. So here’s my advice to the two lovebirds. It’s time to do the following.

  • Cut to the chase.
  • End the love-hate relationship.
  • For Selena to stop accusing Justin of cheating.
  • For Justin to stop accusing Selena of using him for fame.

It’s time for Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber to kiss and make up, instead of indulging constantly in the unproductive endeavor of fueling wars that only hide the true feelings underneath.

No wonder Selena Gomez has been formally looking for a boyfriend through James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke since June 20, according to Harper’s Bazaar, and to-date hasn’t found one. Some things are just not meant to be.

And now, the latest news is that Justin Bieber has moved on with a new girl. According to People, he went to the Virgin Media’s V Festival in London with Rihanna in tow and a mystery girl. But, alas, no sign of Sofia Richie, who fueled the Jelena Wars last week. Apparently, the Biebs got overprotective of the 17-year-old lady. Unable to contain the mob that ensued on social media, he finally decided to shut down his Instagram account.

Chances are Bieber will keep doing his bee thing, that is buzz from flower to flower until some time, somewhere, he and Selena will meet again and the sparks will fly once more — just like it did last week. So in effect, nothing actually gets settled. And no one knows how long this yo-yo syndrome will go on for. Until someone, either Justin Bieber or Selena Gomez decides to stop the charade, sit down together and just have a good, long talk face to face.
