Kristen Stewart Explained Why Her Love For Robert Pattinson Is Gross

Kristen Stewart has become more open, even when it comes to her relationship with Robert Pattinson, after revealing last month that she is a lesbian. During a recent interview with T magazine, the 26-year-old actress hinted that her love for the 30-year-old actor was gross. She tried to explain what she and her ex-boyfriend had to go through during the Twilight years.

The two played on-screen lovers Edward Cullen and Bella Swan in the popular film series, and Twihards seem to have a hard time separating the identity of the actors to their characters. Despite Stewart’s cheating scandal with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, fans still wanted her to reunite with Pattinson.

“People wanted me and Rob to be together so badly that our relationship was made into a product. It wasn’t real life anymore. And that was gross to me,” Kristen said. “It’s not that I want to hide who I am or hide anything I’m doing in my life. It’s that I don’t want to become a part of a story for entertainment value.”

The actress’ remark shocked many fans because it appeared that she has just dissed her ex-boyfriend. However, Kristen Stewart reportedly didn’t mean to hurt Robert Pattinson by calling their relationship “gross” during her interview with T magazine. An insider revealed to HollywoodLife.com why she had made that statement.

“Kristen’s intention with talking about her past relationship with Rob had nothing to do with trying to hurt him or disrespect him in any way,” their source said. “The reason she was so candid was to show Alicia [Cargile] how much she loves her and how invested she is in their relationship.”

According to the insider, the star of Equals has become more open now that her relationship with her girlfriend is no longer a secret. She thinks that there is no need to hold back on her feelings and thoughts unlike before when she was still dating Robert.

She told ELLE that they’ve broken up a couple of times, but this time she felt that everything’s right and that’s why she made the big revelation. She also can’t help but compare her relationship now with what she had with Robert Pattinson.

“It changed when I started dating a girl. I was like, ‘Actually, to hide this provides the implication that I’m not down with it or I’m ashamed of it,’ so I had to alter how I approached being in public,” Stewart said. “It opened my life up and I’m so much happier.”

Upon finding out about the K-Stew’s new lover, Rob, who is now dating FKA Twigs, is happy about his ex’s revelation and everything makes more sense to him now. Maybe he already saw some signs that his girlfriend was a lesbian while they were still together, but now he understands her better.

“He really appreciates her and just would like her to be happy and that is what it looks like to him. If she is happy, he is happy. It is as simple as that!” an insider told HollywoodLife.com.

After all the drama that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson faced while they were dating, the two have finally moved on and found new love. The English actor is now engaged to FKA Twigs, but there’s still no definite date for their wedding. The American actress, on the other hand, is reportedly very in love with Alicia Cargile – she even brought her as her date at the Cannnes Film Festival.

The lesbian lovers have also been packing on the PDA in several occasions, and they were even spotted getting cozy at the after-party for Equals in Los Angeles over a month ago. ET also shared a photo of Kristen and Alicia kissing while out for coffee in Los Feliz, California.
