Former ‘Bachelorette’ Desiree Hartsock And Chris Siegfried Reveal Gender Of Baby
Pregnant Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock and husband Chris Siegfried are finally announcing the gender of their baby. Hartsock is now 31 weeks along and looking fabulous as she prepares for her new arrival in October. Fans have waited a long time for Desiree and Chris to reveal the baby’s gender. It was beginning to look as though the happy couple may take Sean and Catherine Lowe’s route and let the sex of their baby be a complete surprise at birth.
So what are Hartsock and Siegfried expecting this fall? Us Weekly shared the big gender reveal with Bachelor Nation and the rest of the world that Chris and Desiree will be having a bouncing baby boy. Desiree shared that the two were originally planning a private reveal dinner with just the two of them. Once they were handed the envelope which contained the answer to their burning question Desiree and Chris decided they could not wait any longer. Hartsock said neither of them cared if it was a boy or a girl but that “it was so nice to know.”
Desiree also shared the wonderful news about their baby boy on her Facebook account. She announced how excited they were with the news and went on to share how full their hearts are with love for their little man. Hartsock ended the post by thanking fans for all their support and extra love throughout her pregnancy. Nothing has been announced yet regarding possible names for their son.

People reported the news of Desiree’s pregnancy back in April. It was revealed at that time Chris and Desiree would welcome their baby in October. Hartsock and Siegfried are both 30 and this will be the first child for them both. Desiree and Chris have both shared many pictures on social media documenting their journey to parenthood. Fans love seeing her growing stomach and hearing about her pregnancy adventures.
Desiree and Chris celebrated their three year anniversary earlier this year. They met when Hartsock was The Bachelorette during season nine of the popular reality series. Desiree made her entrance into the franchise when she originally appeared on Sean Lowe’s season of The Bachelor. Lowe sent her home and it all worked out for the best. She is happy, in love with Chris and expecting her first child.
Desiree’s season ending was a surprise to fans who followed spoilers released by Reality Steve. He was convinced and had many fans convinced that Siegfried was the runner-up and was not the one engaged to Hartsock. Steve had reported Desiree would choose Brooks Forester as her final rose recipient. In a dramatic ending it turned out to not be Brooks. It was Siegfried who had stolen Hartsock’s heart and proposed marriage. The couple could not wait to start their lives in the real world and moved in together fairly fast after the finale.
Chris and Desiree beat the odds of reality television and tied the knot in January of 2015. They had a joyous, tearful wedding and reception followed by a romantic honeymoon in Hawaii. The two have been happy and going strong ever since. It was actually on a trip back to Hawaii for their one year anniversary that they discovered Desiree was pregnant.
Desiree’s pregnancy has been going without a hitch and fans enjoy hearing about her cravings and other stories. While she didn’t experience very much morning sickness in the early stages of her pregnancy, Desiree says her cravings would change daily. One day she would want Italian food and the next Mexican. She shared how supportive Chris always is and will run out and get her whatever she is wanting. As Hartsock’s due date quickly approaches everyone will be watching intently waiting for the big announcement that the newest member of of The Bachelor family has arrived.

Hartsock has also become a writer in recent months and released her first book in May, My Fairytale Wedding. The book discusses all about planning your dream wedding. It has not been shared if Desiree will continue her skills as an author and publish more books in the future. In the meantime Hartsock will just enjoy the final weeks of her pregnancy until she can hold her baby boy in her arms. Bachelor fans will be waiting to see photos when Chris and Desiree welcome him into the world.
