Austin Mahone’s New Songs Have Got Fans Fired Up

In case you’re wondering why the hashtag #SendItWayUp is trending on Twitter on Thursday, Aug. 18, it’s because of Austin Mahone. The aspiring singer has been teasing not one, but two new songs, which have his fans excited and wanting more.

Last week, Austin Mahone teased the previews for two new songs, according to a previous report via Just Jared. The 20-year-old took to social media to start the hashtag #SendItWayUp after hosting a Facebook Live Chat with his fans, in which he revealed the names of the title tracks.

Then, he took to Instagram to share the snippets of each of the songs.

Then, Mahone, unveiled the title track of each the songs, along with the album artwork.

Now, fans can’t wait to hear the rest of the songs, set for release on New Music Friday. They also have been looking for his highly-anticipated debut album. It’s not clear if both of Mahone’s new songs will be featured on his album. Earlier this year, Mahone dropped his free mixtape, This Is Not The Album, as a special thanks to his dedicated fanbase.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Mahone revealed why he wanted to release the mixtape. He said that he had a long list of songs stewing inside of him since he had no idea when his debut was going to drop.

“I don’t know when my album is coming out, I have no clue right now. I’m just waiting for this new year to come so I can just start fresh and take it day by day. But this is why I’m putting this out — just so I can hold the fans over until I do know when it’s going to come out. I decided to just make a mixtape and put it out for free for my fans.”

When he was asked about the status of his actual album, Mahone only revealed that he was taking his time working on it.

“I’m just taking my time with it, because I want it to be perfect for my fans. It’s my first one. I want to make it a huge impact when I release it.”

The breakout song from This Is Not The Album is the track “Put It On Me,” featuring rapper Gemini. Mahone even released not one, but two new music videos which featured his new girlfriend, Katya Elise Henry. Mahone and Henry met on the set of the video earlier this year and have been dating ever since.

He recently opened up to E! News about their relationship and admitted that he can envision a future with the fitness model.

“I like how adventurous she is because whenever I want to take a trip, she is down to go anywhere in the drop of a hat! We both want to go to Costa Rica together.”

Mahone also revealed that he first noticed her on Instagram. They struck up a conversation and things went on from there.

“I mean, it’s a classic new generation kind of meet up thing. It’s crazy. I just think how funny it would be if I tell my kids one day I met her through Instagram. That will be so funny.”

When asked if he could see himself marrying Henry in the future and having kids, he responded with a simple “yes.” But don’t think that’s happening anytime soon, as Mahone’s career is taking off. He said that he wants to take things slow at the moment.

“I am taking it really slow. She’s a cool chick,” he simply said. “I like her a lot. I mean, I love her!”
