‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 8: Sarah Salvatore’s Return Tied In With The Villain’s Plan — Will Sarah Save Damon And Enzo? [Spoilers]

The Vampire Diaries Season 8 will be premiering on the CW in just a few months. Fans are getting excited, but they’re also nervous due to it being the final season of TVD. What new information has been revealed? According to one source, Sarah Salvatore’s return will be mysteriously tied to the villain’s plan.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the character description for Sybil sounds a lot like the creature inside the vault. As fans know, the monster is out and has taken over Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) as well as Bonnie Bennett’s (Kat Graham) boyfriend, Enzo (Michael Malarkey).

Recently, it was confirmed that Sarah Salvatore will be returning to The Vampire Diaries in Season 8. However, what brings her back? TV Line revealed a few TVD spoilers regarding this character.

“It’s actually a mystery what brings her [Sarah Salvatore] back. It’s seemingly disconnected to everything, and yet when we realize the what, we understand that it’s tied into exactly what the villain is attempting to do.”

By villain, was executive producer Julie Plec referring to the monster that is affecting Damon and Enzo, or is this another TVD villain? That isn’t known yet, but fans are busy speculating on what exactly Sarah Salvatore’s return means.

During Comic-Con 2016, Julie Plec and the cast of The Vampire Diaries spoke to TV Line regarding Season 8. At the time, the executive producer teased that fans would be saying hello to old faces and goodbye to others. She made it clear that in the final season of the show, she really wants to bring back everyone, including Nina Dobrev. It wasn’t known then that some old faces included Tristin Mays, who portrayed Sarah Salvatore on TVD.

Plec’s cryptic response doesn’t give any solid answers on what to expect. However, it will keep viewers busy creating theories regarding Sarah’s return to Mystic Falls. The last time the only surviving Salvatore relative was seen, she was told to leave Mystic Falls. However, she was not compelled to forget what she had learned. Some fans were relieved, while others felt it was a mistake. At the time, Sarah also established a bit of a bond with Enzo. With Malarkey’s character currently under the creature’s spell, could Sarah help rescue him and Damon? Is it not Elena who is the key to saving the vampires, but Sarah Salvatore?

Other spoilers for The Vampire Diaries Season 8 include some hot moments between Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) and Caroline Forbes (Candice King). However, “Steroline” might be in danger. It was teased by TV Guide that a new woman will come to town. She has her eyes on Stefan Salvatore and usually gets what she wants, even if she has to use questionable methods to get it. Could Stefan and Caroline’s relationship go through more rocky times? Let’s hope not since the two just got back together.

It was also revealed that Damon and Enzo know what is happening to them. They are still in their bodies somewhere. Ian Somerhalder teased at Comic-Con that viewers will see a lot of “push and pull” between Damon, Enzo, and the creature from the vault. It was also hinted that Enzo will be leaving Bonnie “bread crumbs” so she can find him. However, will it be a joyous reunion, or will it end up getting Bonnie killed on The Vampire Diaries?
